“The most relaxing specialize vacation ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2009

From the initial pick-up at the airport with cool towels and a flower for my hair, I knew I was on vacation! The entire staff was very welcoming and went through great lengths to ensure our stay way very enjoyable.
A few notes to help: the bed was quite hard and on the third morning I asked if there was another choice, I was told that they could "make it soft"...would have been better to know on day one! The bellman can pick you up for dinner in the golf cart...the further suite is not really very far, just a nice touch when you are dressed-up. Order your breakfast the night before...always was on time with plenty of food! They do not have coffee makers in room or available in the morning in the lobby, so you do want to order it for delivery!
Also, I wouldn't be too concerned about the restaurant for breakfast opening for breakfast on time...you are on vacation! Schedule your complimentary massage immediately, its only available from 9-11. Do not rent a car! You can bet on getting pulled over (our rental was red!), plenty of speed traps! We did not go shopping, but did play golf (the included golf course was 40 minutes away and did not include transportation). The Palace Resorts has a great golf package that does include transportion, just do not play at the Cancun Palace the course is only about a year old and needs to mature.

The good part...The airport pickup, the pool area, the spa and the aesthetics of the room were just beautiful and absolutely fabulous. The complimentary worldwide calls were as promised and greatly appreciated. The robes were also quite nice. Can’t say enough nice things about the entire staff. Everyone was wonderful - very pleasant, helpful and very willing to cater to your every whim.

The bad part...In general, except for the pool area, the exterior appearance left a lot to be desired. Nothing attractive or “soothing” about it. The beds and pillows were horrible…the worst I have ever encountered.. They were absolute torture. I spent the week with excruciating back pain because of the bed. There was fruit in the room when we arrived, however, they claim “fresh fruit daily” and during the six days we were there, they never changed it or replaced items that were eaten. The same goes for the mini-bar. No snacks whatsoever and the few small liquor bottles were never replaced. Most days, the glasses were not replaced and the only thing they did put in the refrigerator was water. As far as the champagne daily, it was available if you called room service for it. Not exactly quality champagne either. After the first bottle, we didn’t call for anymore. The Bvlgari bath amenities were very nice, however, they were never replaced in the six days either. The “handmade beach bag” although very functional, smelled like fish. We did not bring it home. The “aromatherapy pillows” and linen scents did not exist either. The first night, the turndown service did sprinkle something on the pillows so they would smell nice, but never did it again for the rest of our stay. The table in the living room was “dusted” but it was never cleaned. Each day it continued to accrue rings from glasses and was disgusting by the time we left. I also found it very offensive that the cleaning women were dressed as peasants. They certainly have as much value as anyone else.

The "library" had one computer...so if you don't bring your own, good luck. The
The best meal was breakfast. As far as lunch and dinner, the food left a lot to be desired both in quality and quantity. There were not many choices and what was served was not quite the way it was presented on the menu. For instance the menu said that an item would be served in a plantain shell, when in fact there was a sliver of plantain on top of the food. They were very willing however to deliver off menu requests (ie: enchiladas, tacos, etc.).

Despite all the negatives, it was a very relaxing vacation. This resort has the potential to be 5 star, but it's definitely not there yet.

From the transfer we were looking forward to our arrival at Zoetry. Checking in was painless as our tour guide, Miguel Raoul, was fantastic with our tour of the resort and the check in. The service at bars and restaurants both was spotty at best. The comments about signing the $0.00 bills were accurate, and we got to the point where we just left before the "bill"came. Other than that, though, the resort was quiet, clean, and very spread out. This is not a place for those looking for a party atmosphere, but for those looking for great grounds, peace and quiet, and relaxation it will be a great trip.

What a lovely vacation! Wonderful attention to detail, accommodating staff, fantastic pool, soothing beach. Could have spent the whole time in the beach beds! Will definitely come again!

Of the vacations we've enjoyed through the years, this is the new #1. The high rating was earned through a unique combination of service and amentities that consistently exceeded expectations. The cuisine was superb. The suite, elegant. The surroundings beautiful and beautifully quiet. However, without a doubt, what sets Zoetry apart is the genuine pleasantness of the staff and their sincere efforts to make your experience positive and comfortable. You truly feel like a welcome guest in their little slice of paradise. If you're looking to get away from the real world; cherish serenity above night life; enjoy meeting fellow travelers and spending quiet time with your spouse, this is your kind of place, too.

Wonderful! Gotta admit, it took us a full day to get used to it. We kept listening for the guy with the bullhorn announcing the upcoming belly flop contest over loud pop music at the pool, and the long buffet lines with the plastic bubble sneeze protector, but nothing! Instead we were greeted at the airport by a lovely gentleman with a bottle of champagne and music menu. Yup, you got it, a music menu. Whether you want to bop in your seat to mariachi or chill to some smooth jazz, you’re in. When we arrived, we were given the tour and driven to our suite (still can’t pronounce it- Kajourajo) in a golf cart, that was always available in case anyone, shall we say, overindulged. But frankly, it just doesn’t happen here. This isn’t your daughter’s spring break place. This is a serene, almost dreamlike, absolutely relaxing vacation destination for adult couples (kids are welcome but there was not one there) nothing like those cookie-cutter 500 room resorts. It’s filled with what they call “endless privileges” (not to be confused with other resorts “all-inclusive” claim.) And they were endless: premium drinks, gourmet food, beautifully appointed suite and the most accommodating (but not in your face) staff ever! We operate a small film and TV production company, and Robert (the Resident Manager), Saul (the Entertainment Director) and Mia and Livia (the Wills Specialists) actually helped us produce our latest project (a 30 second Doritos ad) right there on a whim! Yes, we must say the relaxing beauty of the place does get your creative juices flowing. So even if you want a quiet place to get some work done, grab your laptop (wifi throughout) and jump on a plane. Leave your cell phone at home. Worldwide calls are free. We could go on and on, but if you’re smart, you’re probably already on the phone booking your next trip. We plan on going back, and trying their new resort opening soon in Punta Cana.
Ciao,
Dawn and Larry Natalia (www.gandgmedia.com.)

My wife,12 year old son and I had a wonderful experience!
The staff is terrific and cuisine was wonderful. The setting is without equal.
We felt 100% secure at all times and saw no influence of the alleged H1N1 Virus.
Robert, Zoetry's General Manager made every effort to ensure that all guests were totally satisfied.
The resort is extremely Eco-friendly,with a host of resident Macaws,Peacocks and other beautiful denizens. One night we watched Zoetry's staff protect, and relocate, freshly-laid Turtle eggs.Another evening Mars' proximity was pointed-out to us by staff.
We couldn't endorse this property more completely.
