This was everything we had hoped and more, from the time we got off the plane and were greeted with cold towels and a glass of champagne until they printed our boarding passes for us so we did not have to stand in line at the airport when we left. The pictures don't do the resort justice, it was beautiful. The service went above and beyond our expectations. The food was outstanding, the wait staff made sure everything was perfect. Even if it was not on the menu if they could make it for you they would. We are already booking another trip back in April.

We are just home from a 9 night stay at this great resort. We did lots of research and quite honestly this hotel lived up to the reviews 100%. It really was everything we had hoped it would be and a bit more.
Everyone has said it, but what really makes this resort great are the staff. We have never experienced such genuine great, friendly service across all areas of the resort. The pool, bar and restaurant staff all deserve the praise they get but we also wanted to mention all the gardeners, room staff and maintenance staff who always smile and say hello. Thank you especially to Eric who took care of us by the pool along with Antonio, Frederico and Carlos in the Hippo bar, plus all the waiting staff in all 3 restaurants.
The rooms are amazing, huge suites, comfy (but firm) beds, great bathrooms and lovely views over the ocean. The room staff do a good job and each evening they completely clean and decorate the room, very special.
The food is excellent. Good options, interesting menus and all beautifully presented. The grill restaurant only opened the last couple of days of our trip but we did get to experience their special food night and the chicken and steaks are great if you just want more simple grilled food.
We really can't fault this hotel. It is quiet and small but with just enough going on. The Hippo bar is a great place to have cocktails and relax and if you want a bit more to do Miguel did a great job with tequila and wine tastings, but its also a place where days by the pool fly by and you can really relax. The pool is really unusual in design, spotlessly clean and totally inviting.
We did the sunset cruise which was lovely as well as the shopping trip which is a nice trip for some local crafts bargaining and to see a bit more of the local area. We also did a half day trip to Tulum that we booked through reception. Very interesting and worth the trip.
If you love beaches and the sea this may not have the best beach for you as the sea is not clear here as others have said ( although you can walk just a few hundred yards up the beach for clear blue waters) but for us everything else made up for that small problem. I am sure we will be back and it will make us look at the other Zoetry hotels. Thank you again to all the staff for a special holiday.

Room Tip: I genuinely think all the room locations are good. We had a first floor room so had a nice view and very large balcony.

The Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita is a perfect vacation for those seeking a private resort who are interested in enjoying each other's companionship away from the busy and lively schedules back home. The room is spectacular-from the view to the oversized suite to the bidet and garden in the bathroom. The food is excellent. The service is the best I have had at any resort (including all inclusive resorts in the BVI and Jamaica and others in Mexico). If you're looking for the crowded party Cancun scene or want to meet 50 couples and hang out, try another resort in the area. But, if your'e like me and looking to hang out with your wife in complete privacy steps from the beach, with a pool side waiter to reserve your chair every day and bring you anything you ask for, then this is the perfect place for you. It is likely you will see less than 25 people in an entire day-we went in May and the resort is unbelievably private. We only met maybe three or four couples and two of them were semi-celebrities. It is common to see Olympic medalists, television personalities, etc. which proves this is a great and unique resort. Also, the resort sometimes hosts a tennis professional or yoga professional with complimentary lessons-unbelievable deal? Service, cleanliness, scenery, food-first class and amazing!

Room Tip: I have stayed twice and both rooms were amazing. We have tried the plunge pool and the base room and the base room is still more than perfect for a Honeymoon-luxurious and nicer than any other room I have stayed at anywhere.

We cautiously booked our trip with Zoetry because of my wife's celiac disease and dairy allergies. All of our apprehensions melted away when we were greeted by our concierge Rafa who truly took care of all the details. He made us feel like we were at home: True hospitality from the heart.

The restaurant manager Ugo of La Canoa was extremely aware of our dietary restrictions and made sure we were safe from cross-contamination. The presentation of the food was beautiful and many of the dishes were way above par in taste and creativity. The casual elegance for dinner was inviting. They always made us feel special. If you are celicas you might want to know that the restaurant Kaax now offers a new menu with clear designations for gluten free dishes. The restaurants offered gluten free pancakes, GF waffles, pizza, pasta and bread everyday. We loved the fresh carrot juice and other freshly blended juices. It was nice to have a touch of "wellness" throughout the resort. You even find wellness menus available that changed daily. We loved the daily tea time but wished it could have been a little earlier 3:30-5 or instead extend the current time 5-6:30 as like a "cocktail" before dinner. The espresso machine was awesome in the room. It would also be nice to have an exotic selection of tea available in the room. Regarding drinks there was an awesome selection for gluten free drinks. In addition we would suggest to add gluten free vodka for the cocktails.

During our eight days we had two days of clear seaweed-free ocean and beautiful turquoise water; the other days had seaweed but they do a good job picking it up. No problem to find a beach bed cabana which feels amazing and pampering. Miguel and Victor served us so well with much humor and kindness while we were lounging at the beach bed.

The included Spa pools, steam bath and dry sauna were very rejuvenating. The outside salt water pool was especially serene and relaxing. The 1.5 hr snorkel tour was well worth it for $55. We even saw a shark and barracuda up close. The included kayaks were a lot of fun to get into the deeper ocean and take a swim.

We had many special requests during our stay; they were usually responded to with "anything is possible" which was very true. We truly had a wonderful time and it met all of our expectations. The bulk of tripadvisor's reviews gave us a good and realistic sense. It is truly marvelous if you are looking for a quiet, restoring haven with top quality service.

Room Tip: We loved the room with the hammock to enjoy the stars at night and sunrise in the morning. The middle floor room offered a good amount of shade during the day. Room Zimbabwe was right at the beach and had a walkway right by it to the beach.

We booked Zoetry for our seven day honeymoon, and didn't regret it for a second. The resort, which is a Five Diamond property, was beautiful (almost jungle-like) and well-maintained. The food was absolutely outstanding (we loved La Canoa especially), and our room was beautiful. The pool and beach areas were so relaxing, and we actually came back from this trip feeling refreshed instead of exhausted. What really stood out to us, though, was the service. Everyone from the gentleman who picked us up from the airport, to the waitstaff, to those working at the front desk went above and beyond. Having worked in customer service in a variety of capacities for almost ten years, I can literally say this was the most incredible service I have ever received. Polite, accurate, timely, and gracious, the team at Zoetry strives to make every interaction a positive one. We were especially impressed by Carlos, the bartender we interacted with the majority of the time, Fredrico, our waiter during the day while by the pool and on the beach, and Pastor, our waiter from La Canoa. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
