“Love Casa Caribe”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

Casa Caribe is "The Jewel" of Puerto Morelos. If you are wanting to stay away from the crowds of Cancun and Playa, and the AI resorts up and down the coast, Casa Caribe is for you! Clean, calm, welcoming, and über comfortable! Beach directly across the street. Best breakfast in town included. Owner and hostess extraordinaire, Catriona, is passionate about PM and all of Mexico. She can suggest and help make arrangements for your local activities or day trips. Incredible day trips!!
This is the best small, quaint hotel PM has to offer. If you love to eat and or aspire to know about real Mexican cuisine, make sure you sign up for a class at the Little Mexican Cooking School. You will never find a better unique vacation experience!

This is a great B&B in Puerto Morelos. It is across the street from the beach with great partial views of the ocean from some of the upstairs rooms. My husband and I were in Room 2 and we had a great view from our balcony. The rooms are large with very comfortable king size bed. nice bathroom with a walk in shower and a table with two chairs and coffee pot. There is also a good sized mini fridge where you can store your beer and snacks. Also, bottled pure water. The owner, Cat and her assistant Lisa were very welcoming and helpful. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because we stayed for 2 weeks and the breakfast can get a bit boring for that many mornings. The food is delicious but I wish there had been a bit more variety. But overall a great place to stay and I highly recommend it for couples especially.

We stayed here for three nights in #2, upstairs. Nice view (now partially blocked by a new building) and very comfortable and clean. Nice big deck to hang out on. Good shower with lots of hot water. The breakfasts were just awesome, good choices. Only a 2 minute walk to the beach and a few minutes from the plaza. Cat had great recommendations for restaurants. I don't think you can do better in Puerto, which is the nicest town on the Mayan Riviera…they don't have those darn resorts here!

I and my teenage daughter stayed at Casa Caribe , and used it as a base to have a lovely time enjoying life on the Yucatan Peninsula . We loved it . Great people , Cat and Michelle and staff made it so enjoyable .....friendly , clean , safe , charming , easy access to beach , shops , restaurants , and great tours . I can go on about the beautiful garden and the birds , not to mention the food ......Last but not least , I can't forget the people of Puerto Morelos .... To them I say "Hola , muchisimas gracias " .

Room Tip: Upstairs gets you an ocean view and the lovely sea breeze .

Our Casa Caribe stay was wonderful after staying in a large luxury resort in Playa for a conference. So refreshing & 2 min walk to a beautiful beach. Cat & Michelle were very helpful & accommodating, always willing to help. The staff was amazing, too, so friendly. We stayed in room # 5 with AC which was nice, but not really needed due to great breezes from the sea.
Breakfasts were super yummy and PLENTY of food. Already planning our stay for the fall.

Wonderful, quiet & safe village with plenty of cute eateries, a coffee shop & local shops are only walking distance away.

Chose this B & B for two nights at the conclusion of a stay at a luxury property down the road in Riviera Maya. This was our second similar stay in Puerto Morelos but the first time here. We knew of the The Little Mexican Cooking School which is held at this property and thought it looked like a beautiful place to stay. Cat, the owner, is very accommodating and has a great website. Not only does she provide great info on her property but she also has valuable info on the town. The common areas at Casa Cribe are so relaxing and lovely. Very serene. The rooms are basic and functional with some decorations. The second floor rooms with a balcony have a nice view to the ocean. The only negative was the low water pressure in the shower but everything else made up for it. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning was an added bonus. You can walk all around the town from here...no car needed. Would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Second floor is the place to be.

Casa Caribe was everything we thought it would be and more! From the moment we walked through the gate we knew we had made the right choice, the place is just so beautiful! Our room was large, comfortable and very clean. Cat and Michelle were so welcoming and were always eager to answer our questions. We have previously stayed at The Valentin which is a high end all adult, all inclusive resort but this trip was much better by far. Puerto Morales is a charming fishing village, safe and easy to get around. Casa Caribe is only a 10 minute stroll into "town" and getting to the beach was quick and easy, in fact it was less of a walk than the one we had at the resort. Cat has thought of everything, a coffee maker in the room, a large water cooler and chairs, towels and umbrellas to take to the beach. She even has a couple of bikes that can be used. The courtyard is beautifully landscaped with plenty of seating and places to chill out and relax. We really enjoyed sitting on the spacious balcony and relaxing in the hammock. It was so quiet and peaceful and felt very safe. We ate our way around the village, trying out many of the restaurants and had some great experiences. We loved the coffee shop and bought some of their coffee to use in the room. Breakfast is included and was delicious! The room was cleaned daily and towels replaced as needed.

Room Tip: There are only five rooms, four are upstairs and it is my understanding one has air-conditioning. We...
