“This place is soooo cool”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

It is ocean front and very quaint. With a lot of old school signs and decorations on the wall you kind of feel like you are in a diner from way back. What we didn't expect was how great the mojito's were. The stainless steel cups they came in where a nice touch the drinks stayed really cold because of that. We sat on the beach and had drinks and food down there. Also there is a beach ball volleyball net how cool is that. We had some friends meet up with us there and shared a friendly game of volleyball. It's worthy of a stop for sure. Enjoy and tell Hector we said Hi from Candy in Calgary.

“Excelente”
Reviewed October 2, 2012

This is the best hidden secret in Puerto Morelos. The fish tacos are to die for and the atmosphere is warm & inviting, right on the beach. Ate there twice while on vacation Sept 21-28. Our waiter and amigo FERNANDO..inpeccable service and great conversation. Can't wait to return at Christmas.Muchas Gracias.

“amazing!”
Reviewed September 10, 2012

Fish and shrimp tacos, margaritas and amazing Tuna Carpacio!! We took a cab here from Ocean Coral and Turquesa Resort. This place is amazing with seatig on the water and a gorgeous view of the local fishing boats and ocean! The food was super fresh and just what we were looking for! Good location in the town square makes it an easy and quick stop between shopping and sight seeing!

“Good food, below average service”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

We live in Cancun and I visited with 4 friends on August 26, the place is charming and the beach front location is fantastic. The food is what I expected; good but not spectacular but if you combine it with the location you'll have a great time. On the other hand the service is quite bad, we almost had to beg three different waiters to get somebody to offer us a beverage. The food took an eternity to arrive at our table and when we asked somebody that look "on charge" the answer that we got is that they" work the orders as they arrive in the kitchen" the problem is that for our party of 4, the plates for each arrived with 5 to 10 minutes difference. Also we realized from talking to other tables that there were items in the menu that were never offered to us such as Margaritas or Scallops... I am convinced that if they really make an effort and put their focus in service they will succed in a market where there is fierce competition. We will definitely return soon for the food and the locations hoping for a better service

“One of the best restaurants in Yucatan”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

We went to this restaurants with a couple of friends that live in Playa del Carmen: they had already visited the restaurant many times and they told us amazing things about this place...well, even that was not enough to prepare me for the experience we had: it was an unforgettable dinner.
The place is very very simple, a wooden construction built on the beach of Puerto Morelos, kind of old bar decorations and the kitchen closes very early in the evening (especially if they don't have a lot of customers), but the quality and taste of the dishes will really surprise you!!!
They offer some very interesting variations on the local cooking tradition, therefore you'll find tostadas, tacos, burritos and some main courses and all of them have sea products as their main ingredient, but it's the way they mix them with other ingredients and flavours that makes their dishes so incredible...just as an example: I do not eat raw food, being it fish or meat, I really don't like it; well, I took a bite from a raw tuna tostada that my girlfriend was eating and I ended up eating tostadas with raw fish, shellfishes and seashells all dinner long.
Talking about the drinks, I think they serve only beer but I'm not sure, anyway they were cold and perfect for the dinner.
Good desserts and very very good prices: it's one of the cheapest restaurants we've been to during the whole holiday and, given the stunning quality of the food, it was a very pleasant surprise.
