“Good but with KIDS”

Me and my partner went for a week in April. The best part was the wonderful SUNNY weather. There was not one bad day and coming from snow this was much appreciated. The food was not the best I have ever had at a resort but was great for families. Much of the selection was geared towards kids. The pool was nice but only one real happening spot kids and adults all mixed together and YES ONLY ONE SWIM up bar. This was strange to us but drinks were great so that was all good. The weddings were happening everyday and it was not PRIVATE but yet beautiful regardless. The seat situation was bad and we ended up having to get up at 6am to get spots just for 2 PEOPLE. Throughout the day you would commonly see guests arguing over saved spots etc…kinda ridiculous if you ask me. The WORST part was that the staff did come at around 3 and boot you out of areas to make room for the outside food buffet diners…but this was not done tactfully and was rude. The outdoor food thing was our LEAST favorite part of the entire stay becasue it was not the best selection and lots of stuff was outside in the heat for longer periods then we thought was safe. You also had to sit with a group of strangers so it was not private plus then the ONLY buffet rest. was closed and you were only able to eat at the a la cart rest…we did enjoy the rest. and never found it to be long waits but we were a small party. The Italian was awesome best Mussels ever. They also give you pagers which was great. The ROOM SERVICE was fantastic especially for breakfast as the small and again only buffet in the am was crowded and not mind blowing…A TIP is that you can custom order breakfast and enjoy in the privacy of your room after you got up at 5:30am to ensure that you would have a place to sit for the day lol. The evening entertainment looked good but honestly not a huge fan of any of resort entertainment so cannot really comment. We opted to rent MOVIES off of the television or borrow DVDs from the concerige. The tv selection was also very good better then other resorts. NO bar selection or lounges in the nightime except main lobby which was crowded and no seats and noisy definatly not a chill environment. The nightclub we never found so must have sucked. The spa looked wonderful never used any services this time but took a quick tour and it was the quietest place on the whole resort. TIP #2 do NOT book your cocktail reception after wedding at HOT TUB location very cheesy and not at all private…guys in speedos may be in the tub while your guests look down at them HONEST…id look into that because we sure thought it looked awkward. The beach was so-so nothing to rav about…better swimming then in Cabos but not fantastic for kids I would say. The activities were also always going on and geared for children which was great if you are into that and are traveling with wee babes. Wifi was so so but at least you did not have to pay for it like in other resorts so I would not complain about that. The rooms were the best very spacious and open but not private for toilet breaks…and our room was 2143 and we faced onto the main walkway so balcony was not private and when shows were going on by outside lobby it was loud but afterall you are on holidays so no complaining about noise I would think. Moderatly clean throughout resort but found HAIRS IN THE POOL several every single day :( and I was not liking that …never noticed that before any where else maybe cuz its only one main pool dunno but nasty. DRINKS ROCKED !! good booze and friendly servers. i WOULD GO BACK but with my kids otherwise NO WE would go adult only resorts. Wished that we would have stayed at the resort beside (secrets i think??) as it was for adults only.

We stayed for 2 weeks over Easter. Great facilities, very clean, incredibly friendly staff and service was excellent. Big highlight was the kids club which was the best we have come across around the world.

Downsides were very poor wifi (for a modern premium resort this is unacceptable), sun beds were full by 0830 everyday and some of the restaurants were far too formal for Mexico so limited the choice.

At times it was very loud due to wedding parties but nothing unbearable. We would go back.

I recently stayed at the dreams riviera cancun with my family of four (2 daughters ages 6 and 9). We all had a wonderful time. I travel a good deal and have been to this part of Mexico several times. From the minute we arrived until we left we were very impressed at the service we received, quality of the rooms, overall cleanliness of the resort and the food. Everything was magnificent. I would like to make special mention of Mario Peralta, Samuel Campos and Antonio Mesero at restaurants Oceana and Seaside....the service was just above and beyond. I am typically a very tough critic and it would be tough to find fault with this resort. I have already recommended to friends and family and hope to return at some point myself.

I had an amazing staying at this resort. The resort staff was absolutely amazing and friendly. I was there with a wedding group and their wedding was beautiful the reception was a blast. I tried a majority of the restaurants on the resort along with the buffet for breakfast and lunch and I have nothing but good things to say about the food. It was amazing! The rooms were clean and amazing as well. I loved how they were cleaned twice a day and the mini bar was always stocked. The bartenders at the swim up bar were the best. Clever was definitely my favorite staff member! He kept those drinks coming. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a beautiful and relaxing vacation to stay at this resort. The only thing I will say is you have to get up EARLY to get a chair at the pool, but with the group I went with we mostly stayed on the rafts in the infinity pool along the bar. :) Again, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate all our needs and I would definitely want to stay at this resort or another dreams resort.

My wife, our 19 month old daughter and I stayed at this resort 4/24-4/29. Our awesome travel agent Amy @ Dream Makers Vacation Services got us a great deal and hooked us up with an amazing view and room upgrade.

The resort is laid out very nicely and the property is well manicured. This is such a great resort for kids. They have an explorers club with a splash pad that our daughter absolutely loved and there's an entire pool for kids that was not deep but they also have 2 other deeper pools with a swim up bar.

The restaurants and buffer offered good food and excellent service. Our daughter has food allergies (milk & peanut) and the restaurant staff were great in accommodating her needs. Chef Mauricio met with us the day we arrived and we had a conversation about what can be prepared for our little girl to safely eat. We also got hooked up with a microwave in the room which was very helpful since we packed some prepared foods for her too just incase.

They even had soy and almond milk at the cafe so we stopped in every day for a sippy cup refill.

The honeymoon suite was very well decorated and the outside jacuzzi was awesome. The housekeeping and room service staff were also great. No complaints at all and our family will definitely come back to this resort.

It would be hard to come up with a reason to criticize this resort. The service, accommodations,food and entertainment was the best I've had at an all inclusives location. The staff was amazing without being overbearing. High quality food and top shelf liquor made the price of stay easy to take. I guess the only downfall would be the lack of free wifi, however this forced me to disconnect and truly relax.

Arrived April 16 all guests stayed for a week, one couple 2 weeks Overall we liked the resort. There were fantastic parts and not so great. As for the resort, grounds were great, very clean and well maintained. pool experience, ok, towels and chairs were a struggle to get. Staff throughout were friendly. Virdanna in Lobby bar was the best. Our whole group loved her. Well done! Desires night club we did not like at all. It does not fit with the look and atmosphere of the rest of the resort.

Our room 2250 (preferred club. ocean view) sliver of ocean, could not see much due to palm trees etc. Not ocean view in my opinion. Room cleaning was only ok, seemed to get less everyday. Even with daily tipping . Snacks ( pringles and m&m's) and alcohol was only provided on arrival. It was never restocked. We actually went from 4 corona's to 3 and we did not drink any. We even went to the the preferred club area and notified them , nothing changed. On check out we mentioned again, not even an apology. wifi was terrible. I would say preferred club is not worth it. Room was very noisy... stairwell beside room, lots of foot traffic noise and voices, crying kids at 6 am and chair sliding from room above was brutal. Bed was very comfortable. Glass door on bathroom is terrible. No privacy. Jetted tub on balcony did not stay plugged. Appeared plugged but drained very quickly. You had to keep the water running, very wasteful

Restaurants. japanese was our group fav, we had wait issues in portofino. Told us hour and half, we waited in the lobby and kept returning after the 90 mins to be told 15 min longer. After almost 3 hours we all stood at entrance of half empty restaurant and waited. Only then did they start to set tables for us. Very frustrating. Stand there and wait. Do not go to lobby and wait. We tried this a couple nights later with an almost full restaurant and got in with in 20 min. First night we ate at the poolside themed buffet. 3 people got sick, by day 3 our entire group of 17 had major stomach issues, 2 weeks later some are still sick. This is unfortunate as it is what all our guests talk about. We have never had stomach issues in Mexico previously

Wedding, Claudia was our wedding planner and she did a fantastic job. We could not have asked for any better set ups. We chose a lighted hoopa for ceremony on the beach and king hoopa for our dinner reception. It was fabulous. Beyond my expectations and I am very fussy. The waiters for dinner cocktail hour and dance were outstanding. So much fun too. We had them join the dance, they made our night. The only issue here is it was far to short. We only just began and had to shut it down for the night. We had to pay for an extra hour of cocktails, seems wrong at an all inclusive. $180/ hour for sound system and a tech to run your ipod is very steep too. Claudia did go above and beyond adding a couple things at no charge as she knew I wanted them , however I deleted them as costs got very high and we did not use some of the offerings in the Ultimate package. One guest comment was "wedding of the century"

Officiant. Linda was awesome, great personality and could not have asked for a better officiant. She felt like family

Flowers were incredible. I was very concerned and ended up blown away by the quality. Very disappointed I did not receive the majority of my flowers after the wedding. Only 3 out of about a dozen arrangements were delivered the next day. I mentioned this to Claudia and on our 2nd week a beautiful bouquet and letter from Dreams was sent to us at Secrets Maroma where we moved for our honeymoon. Very classy and very appreciated. I believe Claudia strives to improve the services provided in the wedding show room and has an excellent work ethic.

We also did not receive our wedding cake after the reception.... apparently an issue with room service????? We also had a bottle of wine and strawberries sent to our room from family in Canada.. we received the wine and strawberries but no note, we did not know who sent it to us until we returned home and had the person ask us about it. This was unfortunate and embarrassing as we did not know to thank them.

Salon. We could not have asked for anything better. 4 of us had hair and make up done. All were perfect. One of them is a hairdresser and said we would not have received that quality at home. Highly recommend the salon. It was windy on the beach and my hair did not move. Tip from Claudia as well no loose tendrils, looks bad in pics if it's windy. We listened. I wanted to have my hair down and changed last minute due to wind on the beach and Claudia's comment

Spa. I had a 50 minute seaweed body wrap, ended 10 minutes early. Not what I expected for the price. Hot tub was way to hot to go in as was the steam room in the hydro circuit Went back for a couples massage. Massages were average, hot tub was useable this time.

All in all, I would say the wedding planning, salon and lobby bar are outstanding. Food was only ok but influenced as everyone got sick. Services from house keeping and pool area, towels etc should get a lesson from Secrets Maroma. Attention to detail was lacking Staff in general were exceptionally hard working and very friendly in all other areas. Highly recommend for a wedding
