This was agreat family hotel and the food was great. The staff were very attentative and went out of their way to cater to the guests. The beach is however, not so great for swimming, there are rocks in the water, otherwise it is a great property with excellent staff and food to relax and enjoy your family vacation.

Room Tip: The premium section is well worth the extra charge, you get your own pool and staff.

My boyfriend and I spent two weeks at the Sensatori in July and couldn't praise the holiday enough. We were immediately impressed by the incredibly welcoming staff and the smoothness of check in, something which was much appreciated after spending hours going through Mexican customs. We stayed in block three and were very happy with our room, everything was clean and there were no signs of mould or damp as reported in other reviews. Our maid couldn't do enough for us, upon noticing that my dressing gown didn't have a belt she returned minutes later with a new one, without me even having to ask! We loved the pools and spent most of our time round the Zavaz pool as we found this to be relaxing and not too crowded, the waitress' frequently came round taking drink orders meaning we didn't even have to move from our sun loungers. The food was great and there was a lot of variety, my favourite being breakfast in spoon often I was so full after that I didn't even want lunch. Overall the hotel surpassed out expectations in every way, every member of staff greeted you with a friendly hola and smile and made us feel very welcome. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday, so much so that we are looking at returning this year!

We exchanged our timeshare for a week at the Sensatori. The resort itself was comfortable, the room was nice and the staff were very polite and helpful. We are not typically vacationers who stay on the resort most of the time and had a rental car so we could do day trips. This resort has a mandatory meal plan and it was very expensive if you are only having breakfast and a few dinners with a couple of drinks if we get back in time - $160/ day!!!

Be aware of this if you are swapping your timeshare week (I should have done my homework more thoroughly) - overall this turned out to be one of the most expensive vacations we have had using our timeshare, and we have stayed throughout Europe and many South American destinations. It was not worthwhile, as there are many other resorts in the area that would met our needs.

My daughter and I had a destination wedding here in early January 2014, we were told it had rained for 14 straight days prior to our arrival.
We upgraded our romm to the Premium Jacuzzi Swim Up Suite, it was amazing. The service was the best but the pool teeam was our favorite. Luis, Saida and Amado were friendly, funny and efficient. They made us feel so special. They knew our names and when we were leaving. Our chairs were ready for us each day so we did not have to run out with towels at 7 am. The pool was spotless and there were always smiles. I would completely and totally recommend this hotel. The best 5 day vacation ever, we did NOT want to leave and we are defintely going back.

Room Tip: upgrade to the premium section, for sure!!!

Unbelievable holiday! We spent two weeks at this resort, and hated to come home!! I am celiac & really appreciated that at every restaurant they inquired about food allergies. They were quick to adapt meals to accommodate a gf diet!! Our daughters wedding was unbelievable: ceremony on the beach, dinner and dancing on the beach, with the moon reflecting on the water, & waves crashing. Fabulous romantic party. The whole resort is incredible, the staff,& how they cater to families. From the buffet (Mateo, Oscar, & Carmen), Guadalupe & Eva serving fine beverages, Hector & Sergio at the wedding - their entire staff is incredible. Everyone is excellente!! If only we could get there without flying with Sunwing, we would go back!!
