Hotel Hacienda Morelos
Ranked #17 of 28 Hotels in Puerto Morelos

Hotel Hacienda is an unassuming hotel from the street. Once you get to your room, it's anything but. All rooms open to the beach from the rear. It isn't fancy, but it is clean and close to everything. The bed is large and comfortable, plenty of hot water, tile floor, balcony, maid service every day. The staff was so friendly. It is very quiet. I liked it so more, I came back for another two nights after a trip to Mahahual. Again, it isn't fancy, but it is worth the money.

Room Tip: If you get a room on the first floor, your room opens to the first floor terraza. There is a swimmin...

Good location on beach and very central too. Quick trip from Cancun by bus & taxi. On our arrival the receptionist was unfriendly and unwelcoming. She also tried to charge us more for a third person in the room, even though I'd booked for 3 and sent them an email confirming this. When we finally got to the room it was clean but rundown. The top cupboard doors were loose and fell, just missing my head when I opened one. Dangerous!

Room Tip: Also don't stay on the ground floor. You have people walking past to the pool and diving shop an...

Loved the location as its easy to get to the town center, shopping, the central city park and all the nearby restaurants and its on the beach.
The room we stayed at was comfortable and provided basic amenities, including a/c and a large container of bottled water. A nice large flat screen TV and a large room. Ours had 2 queen beds and a single. One problem though is the humidity, the sheets and bed when you crawled in felt slightly damp. Not bad and the feeling did go away but a room fan would be nice. Also the a/c does blow toward the beds . The hotel staff was ok but not overly friendly. Also we had to go to the lobby to use the internet as the wifi did not work in our room.
One more interesting fact, wrote the hotel direct and got a rate of 80 USD per night went on hotel.com and got the room for $60 per night...

The location of this hotel is great, central to everything and on the beach. We were able to come and go easily. The room we stayed at was comfortable and provided basic amenties. The biggest issue we had dealt with the humidity and low light in the room. The room could very much use a fan as the air conditioner is directed towards the bed so it was very uncomfortable to use. Each room has a water jug which is very convenient. The hotel staff was not very friendly when we asked for help with our cable. There was no wi-fi in the rooms during our stay.

Because it's only 16 easy miles from the Cancun airport this is a great place to begin and end your travels in the Yucatan. The rooms are very clean, bottled water is provided at no extra charge, the WiFi works well in the rooms, the front desk staff is friendly, it's right on the beach, the small pool is immaculate. It's not a fancy resort hotel, but a very pleasant place to stay in a charming little village.

Nice! Typical of traditional Mexican hotels, clean and simple. Right on the beach with great food nearby. We stayed here after an afternoon flight into Cancun and drove on to Merida in the morning. Loved it!

If you are looking for a cheap (yes it's not expensive) hotel to spend a few nights in this is a great deal. Bed was comfy, room is austere without much for furnishings, but very clean! Front desk staff were reserved but very friendly when I talked with them and very helpful. Wifi was free and worked fine, pool small, view lovely, and close walking to everything... we were a little intimidated by the area arriving after dark etc, but very safe, and all in all an excellent choice for affordable sleeping ... shower worked fine, no frills but would return again with no hesitation... special thanks to the front desk staff... both ladies were very nice to us! Even when we got locked out of room they were nice and helped us out without making us feel too silly LOL :)

Room Tip: we stayed on the ground floor so we didn't have to haul our luggage up stairs... three stories...
