Little Paradise Lodge (LP), Kot Danda near Ghandruk is a wonderful place to visit. I have been there many times and call it: My Home in Nepal. The special there is the atmosphere, the people and their hospitality. When you then add the beauty of the place and the views. Then it is a great place. It is half an hour from the maintrail. So not so many are going there. I can highly recommand to visit Little Paradise Lodge for lunch or to stay there. Some trekkers are staying there several days.
There are more ways to get to LP:
1: Take the maintrail from Ghandruk to Kumrong and then turn right.
Ghandruk - Kumrong: 75 min.
Khumrong - LP: 30 min.
2: Take the maintrail from Ghandruk against Kumrong. Short after the bridge there is a nice local trail to Uri/Hill Town to the right. Uri is a nice, local village. From Uri there will be a steep climb to LP.
Ghandruk - Uri: 100 min.
Uri - LP: 45 min.
3. It is also possible to get up there from New Bridge. Just behind the last lodge there is a steep, local trail up through the fields to Uri. Ask directions.
New Bridge - Uri - LP: 130 min.
4. From New Bridge continue against Jinhu. Short before the bridge there are steep stonesteps to Uri up to the left.
Trail Jinhu - Uri: 65 min.

5. From LP to Chomrong the most beautiful and gentle trail is: LP - Kumromg - Melache - Ex Ghurka Lodge - Ghurjung - Chomrong, and it is only 40 min. longer. I never use the trail down through Kimrong more. Down through Kimrong is really not nice. It is only down and up and very stoney. To/from Chomrong I always walk through Melache. But almost all guides and porters still use Kimrong.
To/from Ghandruk I also use Melache.
Kumrong - Melache - Ghurjung: 85 min.
Ghurjung - Chomrong: 110 min.
Chomrong - Ghurjung: 95 min.
Ghurjung - Melache - Khumrong: 100 min.
6. From LP to Tadapani I can also recommand to take the trail through Melache. Ask directions.
Tadapani - Melache - Kumrong:
Kumrong - Melache - Tadapani: 125 min.
7. There is also a more direct, local trail from Kumrong to Tadapani. It starts just behind the big lodge in Kumrong.
From Tadapani walk against Ghandruk 20 min. Then there will be a sign to LP/Kumrong on the left hand.
Tadapani - Kumrong: 85 min.
Kumrong - Tadapani: 100 min.
8. From Tadapani to Jinhu the most direct trail is through Little Paradise Lodge.
9. From Ghandruk to Jinhu the most direct trail is: Ghandruk - Uri - Jinhu.
Trekking maps: There are many trekking maps in Nepal. They look nice. But there are also many wrong things on them. I never trust a Nepal Trekking Map.
Local trails: There are many nice, local trails with only a very few trekkers.
But many of the Nepal guides and porters are not good and are not interested in finding new trails. So you have to do something youself to find the trails.
I wish you a nice time in Nepal.
Evan Nielsen.
