“Good hotel”

Well suited on Phuket's only quiet beach without people trying to sell you things. Breakfast, lunch or dinner right on the beach. We got a great deal from the hotel owner but probably also not any of the better rooms. Our room was ok but the ceiling looked like it was going to fall someday soon and the bathroom was not well built. The staff were very friendly and the location is really superb. Breakfast was ok with minimal variety. Swimming pool is small but ok. I would recommend it.

I find it strange to find all the good reviews. We planned a week at this resort based on the good reviews and pictures on their website but when we arrived nothing was like that.
It was very noisy, you couldn't read a book or take a nap on a sunbed.

The rooms are very dark and small and the bathroom was a big disappointing.
We've booked a beachfront room and we looked out at the sunbeds with umbrellas.
The pool was a big disillusionment! It was very dirty, you couldn't see the bottom of the pool and the stacks of the pool were at some places broken so if you don't pay attention you could hurt your feet and legs! (mayby the water was seawater and was that the reason of being so dirty, I don't know but I didn't wanted to give it a shot)

The picture on their website looks very good, the pool overlooking the sea. But in real time, they build a new peace of restaurant at that place so you don't have seaview at the swimming pool and every place they have, they put a sunbed or other things whereby it looks so busy.
The swimming pool is also very small and by that I mean realy small. The sunbeds couldn't be set near the swimming pool because there wasn't the place for. It's a pitty I didn't made a picture of that to show you.

I find that my pictures looks ok but in real it's worse. The shower was dirty and I was thinking of taking a shower with my slippers still on.

A good thing is that the window has a mosquitoscreen! (that's the only window you have in the room)
The free minibar you get, well there where 2 bottles of water in it so that’s like everywhere else.

We were thinking of going elsewhere but I wanted to give it a try and we went to the restaurant for our lunch.
On the menu you couldn't find real thai food and almost everything was fried. We also chose this resort for the seafood but while we were waiting to order we saw the seafood was al frozen. No fresh lobster, big prawns, squid,... al frozen. That I don't understand, the resort is at the sea and they serve frozen fish! So our second disappointment.

After lunch we took a walk to another resort and we left this hotel immeadiately.

It's totally not worth to pay over 4000 bath for such a room! Read my review of Pai Tan Villas, it's located 300 meters of this resort and we paied 2700 bath per night for the most expensive room!

There are a lot of restaurants in the neighbourhood but no real thai food.
It's located at the beach but it was too crowded, overall sunbeds and it's to touristic.
The food is much more expensive than other places I've been. A small singha costs around 80 bath and dishes starts at 180-200 bath.

If you want a quiet place and explore real thai food, than don't go to Bang Tao beach but take a much more quiet beach.
We are almost yearly travelling to Thailand since 2008 and it was the first time to be disappointed.

The Andaman Bangtao Bay Resort is a quaint little place. Ask the taxi drivers, and they won't know where to go, so you have to tell them you're going to the Best Western. It's such a gem, and I have mixed feelings about people discovering it.

When they say "beachfront," they really mean it. The restaurant tables have their legs in the sand. Water comes right up to your feet in the evening. Speaking of the restaurant, the menu is extensive, but quite simple: You choose your piece of seafood from the long list of fresh seafood items, they grill it and serve it to you with rice and chili dipping sauce. It's not sophisticated, but it doesn't have to be -- it's absolutely delicious! Enjoy it with a cool green coconut and maybe a fresh pineapple for dessert.

The rooms aren't large, but they're really tidy and attractively decorated with traditional Southern Thai accents. The best place to be is in one of the beachfront bungalows which face the swimming pool and the Andaman Sea.

There is a PADI dive center; you can book a dive tour from the resort.

The beachfront is great for long exploratory walks. The sand is silvery and fine. You can wander about and explore other spots along Bang Tao Beach. There is a Bob Marley beach hut that serves stiff drinks just a few hundred meters away. Actually, there is a lot within walking distance of the resort, and it's worth exploring. But if that's not for you, the resort itself is a lovely place to relax in peace.

The staff are friendly and hospitable. Fun fact: One of the owners was a pædiatrician who practiced in California for about 25 years before returning to Thailand for her retirement. She's a lovely woman.

I plan on coming back next year.

we have just returned from 3 weeks at the Andaman bangtao beach resort.
This was our third visit to this area, and I must say the accommodation was really great, location was perfect, really quiet and peaceful, friendly staff, rooms big clean linen every day, plus plenty of fresh towels. The resort is not five star, but this is reflected in the price, we would highly recommend this resort. The beach is literally in front of your room, and what a beach, 6km of beautiful white sand.

Room Tip: from room 6 up away from the pool area

Probably the best location on Bangtao beach . Nice bungalows with a rustic restaurant right on the beach .

Breakfast is taken by order and not a buffet . We stayed for nearly 2 weeks and would have liked a bit of variety or some cereal but for most guests staying 2 or 5 days it would not be a problem . Breakfast choice was tea/coffee , toast , eggs , juice , sliced pineapple or pancake . The staff are friendly and mostly from Burma and have very little grasp of English . So many times there was a mix up with orders or some parts of breakfast not come out . It was never a problem and they always rectified anything .

The pool is very tiny . It seemed smaller than a home pool but good just to dip into if you didnt feel like going in the water at the beach . The water in the pool is quite warm . The beach is on ytour doorstep and at this time of year is at its best . Crystal clear , calm and warm .

I am used to the beds in Thailand being hard and you often see on Trip advisor guests commenting on how hard the beds are . The bed in our room was like a plank and probably the hardest I have had in 20 years of travelling to Thailand .

The resort has its own deck chairs on the grounds and beach and there never seems to be many people around even though they are fully booked . It is so quite on the beach out the front of the resort as well . Once you walk up the beach a bit , and get to the front of the larger resorts , there are people and deck chairs everywhere . You soon realise , that you are staying in the best spot on Bangtao .

Whilst we stayed the tide was perfect and at its lowest in the mornings which made for a perfect easy walk on good hard sand along what seemed to be 4 or 5 k's to the end of the beach . At any time of the day , the water is beautiful and clear and lovely to swim in .

It is a quaint privately run resort . Not 4 or 5 star but we like it like that . Our room closest to the restaurant got internet in the room but other rooms did not , so they could go to the open air restaurant and use the free wifi .

After coming to Thailand for 20 years , we have noticed the accommodation prices creeping up and we did feel this place was quite expensive , sompared to other properties we have stayed at in the past . But certainly one of the nicest locations we have stayed in on Phuket .

There is a little shopping village right out the side of the resort , which has very quiet streets with not much traffic and very good restaurants and bars .

We will return another time and would have no hesitation in staying if the rates are reduced being in another season .

Make sure you go to the Beer Garden restaurant only a few minutes walk from the resort . The best and cheapest food in town .Always busy .

Room Tip: Dine at the Beer Garden restaurant , only a minutes walk from the resort . The best food and the bes...

If you are looking for a quiet resort with beautiful surrounding then this is the perfect resort. The views of the sea from the rooms are stunning. The beach in front of the resort is very clean and quiet and is almost like a private beach. The rooms are cleaned regularly and maintained well. I will not say they are luxurious but very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and the pool is small but beautiful. It is the ideal resort for couples or family looking for a quiet holiday near to the sea-shore. While the accommodation was decent and comfortable enough on an overall basis, please note that the accommodation cannot be termed as posh or five-star like.

The breakfast is really nice and the restaurant serves some very decent food. It is a great experience to eat while enjoying breathtaking sea-views. However, if you are looking for a multi-cuisine specially restaurant or a posh restaurant, you will probably be disappointed.

The location is very nice with easy availability of tuk-tuks, taxis, bike and car hires. Lot of nice restaurants are in the vicinity giving you great options. But please note that while this resort is great for a quiet holiday if you are looking for a more lively holiday this is not the right place for you

We opted for the Pick-up and drop-off to and from the airport by the hotel and they provided efficient service. While pick-up was free, we were charged 500 bahts for drop-off which I think is not too bad.

I did see some reviews, terming the resort as pricey, however given the sea-views from the room, the easy access to an amazing beach, easy accessibility from most parts of phuket, I found the price to be reasonable enough

Room Tip: Choose a room with sea-view

We was for the last 3 days of our holiday in this hotel. It is a nice place, near the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. After every breakfast, lunch or dinner, get a fresh cut ananas, very deliscious!
When we will go back again, then there♡

Room Tip: The best rooms are the beachfront, very nice
