We consider ourselves experiences travellers and real foodies. We come back to this restaurant at least twice a year, to us this is one of the gems in the Natisone valley. The restaurant is situated on the hill side and has a stunning view over the valley. The atmosphere is rustic, but the place is well maintained and well renovated. The owner Maurizio has a first phlegmatic appearance, but has a encyclopedial knowledge of local herbs and food in general and will tell you all the details whenever you're interested.
The dishes are all home made and artisinal, home grown herbs are used in a creative and balanced way. We usually take several first courses as well as second courses and share with each other to have the full experience. Portionings are good and the speed of serving is on the quick side, but if you want to slow down they will be happy to adjust. Desserts are equally good and deserve some room at the end of your dinner.
The wine list consist of mostly local Friuli wines, both international and local grape varieties. Quality is good and has a fair price. There's also a small selection of non-Friuli wines. Don't leave with a sip of the 32-herbs grappa...
