“Very friendly with excellent food”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Spent two nights at Nateby Inn on a groupon. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, home cooked food is really good, especially in front of the real coal fire in the bar, very Cosy. Maureen and Garry

Room Tip: Room four was comfortable, but a little small for a double.

Me and my wife spent the weekend here and I could not fault the place. The staff are all really nice and helpful and like to have a chat. The food was really nice lots of flavour and well presented, we enjoyed all the meals we ate and the breakfast was great too. The bar was well stocked and overall it was a nice friendly place. The beds where really comfy and the room was nice and tidy although a little small but not too small for me, but maybe a little tight if you are on the larger side. Overall I would recommend The Nateby Inn as its well situated for a nice quiet getaway and a good price with great food and great service - Fully recommend

Could not have chosen a more welcoming, friendly, cosy pub for our return to a favourite country area. Gaynor and her staff work very hard to make sure guests are relaxed and happy. Excellent food, extensive evening menu, and good range of beers including Black Sheep bitter. Enjoyed touring the farming countryside and also had a trip to Ullswater and the northern Lake District.

My wife and I spent two nights at The Nateby Inn, Kirby Stephen and found Gaynor and her team only too pleased to help, nothing was too much trouble for them.

Plenty of choices of beers, real ales, ciders.
Food was excellent with a good selection of courses and specials to choose from, with a good hearty breakfast in the morning set us up for the day.
The rooms very comfortable and clean
The Nateby is situated in a good spot for the lakes and other surrounding areas.

We would recommend this to friends and would return without hesitation

Traditional village pub with rooms which is reflected in the tasteful traditional decor. Very clean and offers good quality bedding and towels. Gaynor is very accommodating and will do everything possible to help make the visit a good one. All the staff are very friendly and will be happy to offer advice to make your visit to the area more rewarding - just ask! Dogs are very welcome and can join you in the bar. There is also seating in the garden if the weather is kind. The bar food is plentiful and of good quality and the inn offers a good range of ales. I would go back and would recommend it to friends without hesitation.
