We booked this from the - very helpful - tourist information office in the village. At euro50 for b&b for two of us, it was the cheapest hotel on our trip around southern Europe. I would guess the rate is highly sensitive to the season, however. Ordino's a small village and the hotel is less than a minute's walk to the centre.
Check in was friendly to the point of laidback (in French, not sure how much English is spoken), but helpful. The room was a good size but sparsely furnished, clean and bright, with a small balcony with a table and chairs. The beds were fairly comfortable. The bathroom was large, with a big bathtub. There were enough power points, and a good-sized built-in wardrobe. There's no kettle in the room, nor internet. Altogether, a clean and functional place to sleep, but not a room to hang out in.
There's a bar and pool table downstairs, which, by contrast, is a convivial place to spend time (the ground floor has good free wifi throughout, as well); and there's a small splash pool outdoors, which was cold but refreshing in the summer heat. Breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate, with fresh bread and good coffee.
I was impressed with Ordino. Although obviously a ski resort town, it makes a real effort to attract the summer crowd. There's a great public sports complex, with an indoor pool and a climbing wall; there are free or cheap guided hikes available, and the town is prettily decked out with flower tubs everywhere. Very pleasant.
The hotel aims to service the lower end of the tourist market, and it does so well. It was clean, good value, and welcoming.
