Insane place. Something for the whole family. Bush, sea, surf, fish... or just take in the spectacular views over an ice cold G&T
Vista Abril is a very secluded, luxury residence set in pristine dune vegetation with the most incredible views of the coast you are likely to find anywhere!
Exquisite attention to detail. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. And good fishing! A real privilege to stay here.
This is a luxury 'Hideaway' set high up in the dunes. We had no idea of what to expect, but we were blown away when we opened the front door to a stunning vista of the beach and coastline. The design and construction of the property shows a real attention detail and its positioning high up on the dune is commanding and perfect. This is a 'Very' private residence and the beach feels like its yours. We rarely passed other people in the 6km walk along the shoreline we made each day. The staff are super friendly and helpful, but blend seamlessly into the property until you need them. This really is outdoor living on a luxury scale. We absolutely loved our stay here and would love to return. Vista Abil really is 5 star!! we loved it.
This beautiful beach house is set amongst sand dunes over looking the most incredible view of the ocean. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, the communal living spaces are open, allowing you to never forget where you are. It is very secluded with it's own access directly on to the beach. Just perfect in every way.
Awesome in every aspect. Nice staff, nice house and a stunning beach and environment.
It's my third time at Machangulo and I am very delighted that I found an excellent place to stay.

Not a gaudy pop star mansion but instead the ideal, cool, casual, open to the elements beach house blending perfectly into a remote, private, long, desert-island feel beach with the softest powder sands and azure water...
An architectural surprise and wonder, considering its location...
Go very prepared - it is extremely difficult to get to, requiring proper off-road vehicles, and there is NOTHING there or nearby that hints of civilisation (and then, when you hit that, we're talking Mozambique...). So, as we did, you must take in everything you could possibly need (there is a Shoprite and Woolworths in Maputo, but after that nothing...) and don't expect easy - or any - communications.
It is nonetheless exactly because of this location that it is completely worth it. Not only for the adventure of getting there, but because its isolation (almost like a private island, given the reserve between it and the rest of Mozambique - perhaps feeling a little like it must to have Richard Branson's Necker Island all to oneself) coupled with the quality of the villa and beauty of the place multiplies its specialness exponentially.
