Lovely country house, beautifully renovated and well-equipped. Contemporary decor and fully-equipped modern bathrooms. Fabulous pool. Covered patio, complete with built-in BBQ and pizza oven, and loads of space to entertain guests/family.
If you are looking for an escape from the city, this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. You are truly away-from-it-all, with clear skies, peace and quiet, and wide open views to the horizon.
Although Cinque Terre and Portofino are not that far away, it's actually at least an hour's drive to each one, with some pretty narrow, twisty roads to get there - so bear that in mind if you are thinking about booking a Cinque Terre restaurant in the evening - however, there are some lovely local restaurants nearby, with great food and excellent value.
The owner of the house could not have been more welcoming and went out of her way to make sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable during our stay.
All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing break, and just what we were looking for.
We went at Podere Gaia with the kids after 1 week in Chianti shire, last end of August. We found a beutiful privat resort in deep silence with beautiful view and a lot of peace around. Outstanding pool dominates the valley at the top of the villas. Great location to enjoy peace and silence but also very close to 'Cinque terre' and Portofino. We also took the chance to stop for shopping at Brugnato outlet for summer sales.
We will go there this Summer again for at least 1 week. Here in the picture you can see us at 'Cinque terre'
