we had a dinner organized by our colleagues, and it was a true discovery! the chef, whoa pparanetly also won some national competition was cooking, and showing guests to their rooms (there are few rooms available above the restaurant) and also serving food. although we have been visiting Italy for many years this was certainly among the best dining we have had. we started with some cold cuts and pate, veggie spreads and continued to ahh let me remember... lasagne, stuffed zucchini, meatballs, passatele with vegetables, sliced beef and funghi porcini, fried dumplings with cream cheese and a plate of several desserts, all combined with red wine. the atmosphere was amazing, also that weekend therewas a local religious celebration so the orchestra had a concert just outside. if you are in Emilia Romagna this is a MUST VISIT osteria. come hungry!:)
