“Great food and service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2014

It's best to visit before 6:30 so you can take advantage of the lower prices on the early bird menu!

The staff were lovely and attentive, service was quick and efficient.

Two of our party had the fish and chips, which were very tasty, well cooked, good portions. The third member of our party had a burger, which he said was above the standard of burgers normally served in similar chain restaurant/pub type establishments.

We also had two puddings- the toffee caramel sundae, and the caramel apple crumble pie, which tastes even better than it sounds. Copious amounts of piping hot custard covered this amazing crumble pie, which is one of the best puddings i've ever had in a pub/restaurant.

Convenient, cheap and cheerful - we will return!

“Decent pub food, lovely staff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 11, 2014

We visited here as we were staying near the airport for an early morning flight. It was about 2 minutes drive from the travelodge. Ample car parking right outside the door. We had not booked so were asked to wait about 10 minutes while they sorted us a table. There was a seating area next to the bar so we got a drink and looked through the menu and were taken to our table in precisely 10 minutes. We ordered 2 chicken and maple ribs, a double steak burger and a smothered chicken with a mix of skinny fries and chunky chips with and without spice! All the food was very tasty and cooked just right. We had desserts of chocolate brownie, apple & gooseberry crumble and banoffee pie which were also yummy. With drinks the bill came to just under £70; not bad for 4 people. The member of staff that was serving our table was excellent, i don't know her name but she was very professional and always smiling!

“Food over cooked but service great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

We decided to eat here whilst staying the night before our flight.
The menu is a little pricey but we thought we would give it a go after reading the reviews, we ordered a sharing platter to start which was very nice and tasty.
The main meal we ordered the mixed grill and was awful, we asked for rare steak and what we got was a plate of hard mixed meats, I couldn't even cut the gammon!
The waitress Julie was absolutely lovely and so apologetic about the food, her manager came over and also apologised and said she would take it off our bill. The staff cannot do enough for you and Julie was very attentive to us. It wouldn't put me off eating there again because they would have recooked us another meal had it not been as late as 9.45

“Mind Blowing Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014

The service here was absolutely mind blowing! There was one tall waitress, a polish girl (about six foot) I believe who was absolutely wonderful. She made haste in serving me up the tastiest of condiments, who's tastefulness and flavour were also of note. I thus felt it my honour and pleasure to leave her a hefty tip before my premature departure. yakshamesh!

“The staff here deserve an award for outstanding customer service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014

I don't know whether it is a company Mantra but visiting today with a disabled relative, the service and attention we received was exceptional and so if you read this - thanks.
Nothing was too much trouble from getting them out of the car, seating and even help visiting the disabled loo.
The food is what you would expect from a Beefeater, so no quibbles there, but the service was of a standard that would teach their so-called better restaurants a lesson.
Well done all of you - whoever you are!!
