We received very warm welcome from Julie and her husband upon arrival and during our two night stay at Willow Cottage. We enjoyed a modern deco and good breakfasts and had no problem parking. The location was convenient to travel to Leeds and Ingleton Waterfalls trail (unmissable experience!).

We stayed for one night before the international cricket match at Headingley. Parked the car outside at the back and came in through the kitchen....our fault Julie. Julie immediately offered tea and gave advice for an evening meal and a drink. We tried Murgatroyds (?) the fish and chip restaurant near to the airport and The Crown (highly recoomeded) which is just next to the B & B.
Julie offered to take our bag(s) to Room 5 in the basement. The decor and furnishings were high quality and tasteful...but as one reviewer has stated only one bathrobe.
Minor points and I really mean minor points....we could hear Julie/Harvey's footsteps above in their lounge and we could hear some traffic noise.....we also thought an additional shelf was needed in the bathroom for our own toiletries.
But we enjoyed Julie's breakfast and her knowledge of the area and her enthusiasm and sheer hard work in making this a very very good B & B.
We will try and get back for sure.

Wonderful warm welcome from the friendly hosts to this little gem of a hilltop rural cottage, just minutes from Leeds airport. Comfortable and clean room overlooking the little garden. Generous amenities, big bed, great breakfast. Water pressure in our room could have been better, but it's a mystery that the irrepressible Julie is resolutely trying to solve. The owners could (and should!) charge more.

The only downside to Willow Cottage is the lack of parking at the property - though to be fair, we didn't have any problem parking in the little road behind, and on a Saturday afternoon. There's also a car park on the other side of Ivegate, but it's nowhere near as convenient.

Our room was beautifully and stylishly decorated, the bed and pillows incredibly comfortable, and the shower hot and powerful. Plus points: a separate shower, normal size shower gel and bath oil, fluffy bathrobe (only one though - should there have been two? Not that it mattered.), a large bottle of water beside the bed, a powerful hairdryer, large full-length mirror. Minus points: no decaf coffee, 'plastic' milk, bath towels just a wee bit on the small side (though with a robe it didn't really matter.), you couldn't easily see the TV from the chair, even when it was moved. However, I'm being picky ...

Julie was very welcoming - and the cats were very friendly too - and also organised a taxi for us without a second thought - and as it was raining, made sure it was outside before allowing us to leave the house! Breakfast was good, with plenty of choice, and even black pudding on the menu, which pleased my husband!

If we ever need a place to stay in this area again, we won't hesitate to go back.

I loved it here, the house and room are gorgeous and so comfortable, I loved the furniture and the open fire. Lovely huge bed too. The breakfast was delicious, the owners Julie and Harvey and Sally who made my breakfast are lovely people. Incredible value. Highly recommended. I'd go back in a shot.

I stayed here for two nights in february, i have never stayed in a b & b before, have always used hotels. The location was the deciding choice for this expecting to slum it on the accomodation. This was far, far from the actual experience which far exceeded expectation and better than any hotel for both comfort and service provided by the owner Julie. I shall definately return and am still dreaming of falling asleep in that comfortable bed in front of a blazing open fire :-)
