The reviews that were written for this place are absolutely spot on! Julie and Harvey are really wonderful hosts. The cottage is immense. The room is tidy and beautifully decorated as is the entire cottage. The bed is extremely comfortable. The breakfast is of good quality and very well presented. Their three cats (Phoebe, Maddy and Ben) are absolutely adorable and cuddly (I wish I could take them home with me!). This cottage certainly comes highly recommended and we will definitely visit it again.

Willow Cottage far exceeded my expectations which, having read the reviews prior to our trip, were very high! As previous guests have stated in their visitor book: "if only all B&B's were like this". All the rooms were beautifully decorated, breakfast was delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Julie for making us all so welcome - we will recommend you to others and hope to come back again ourselves very soon. Alison, Peter, Katie and Jenny xx

we stayed here overnight a couple of weeks ago, was a bit tricky to find, but well worth the effort!. Julie made us both feel wonderfully welcome, and her B&B is a delight. Nothing was too much trouble, the room was delightful, and the whole cottage just perfect, thankyou Julie for making us so welcome. We had come from a rather stressful start to our holiday, and Julie did more than make us feel at home.

I stayed at Willow Cottage a few weeks ago and was made very welcome! Although it's a bit difficult to find (at the end of a long drive), I would highly recommend this B&B. It's clean, very comfortable, the breakfast is 'to die for' and nothing's too much trouble for Julie and Harvey. Thank you both SO much! xx

It was worth missing our flight last Friday due to the A1 being closed to discover this gem. Beautiful building, interiors and view. My husband booked us in in at the last minute but we were made very welcome. Julie and Harvey went out of their way to help us print off boarding passed for our new flight the next morning.

Breakfast was fantastic, beds really comfortable. Would highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast.

We had an evening meal at the Tut and Shive, just down the road which was excellent value also.

A delight!

We stayed for one night this weekend having dropped our daughter off at university. I am glad we chose Willow Cottage because we had a really enjoyable stay, if only for one night.

We missed the entrance because it is a gate in a wall. That was because we were looking on the wrong side of the road. There is a sign, so just look for this near the end of Ivegate. When you find Willow Cottage, you will be glad you did.

We received a very warm welcome from Julie who showed us to our lovely room. The photograph does give your a good idea of the high standard of the rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfort of the room having carried many possessions into our daughter's university house. Definitely well appointed.

If you like cats, you will love Julie and Harvey's three cats. They are friendly and even obedient when told to stay out of the breakfast room. I have never seen a cat do as it is told before.

Breakfast was as good as any that I have had anywhere. I have stayed in a number of B&Bs that pride themselves upon providing a good and varied selection at breakfast. Willow Cottage joins the ranks of the best. There was a choice of cereals, fruit and yoghurt, muffins and fruit bread, various cooked breakfasts and a large selection of jams, preserves and marmalades.

During breakfast, my daughter phoned to ask if I knew where her white tac was hiding. On the way out, Julie very kindly gave us some to give to our daughter. That shows you the care that they put into their hospitality.

Will I stay there again? Definitely.

We stayed here for 1 night in August as we were attending a friends wedding reception which was based about 5 minutes away. The couple that run the bed & breakfast are very welcoming & run a lovely warm b&b. Both myself and my fiancee are big cat lovers so we were thrilled to meet the three residence cats. The twin room we were given was very spacious & had a stunning bathroom, we especially loved the big bath! Breakfast was brilliant, had everything you wanted & more! Wish we had an extra night & if we ever visited Leeds again this will definitely be our first choice.
