Our holiday home was warm, immaculate, superbly well equipped and so comfortable. Its exterior was picture post card pretty too.
The location, overlooking the loch , was superb. The sunsets were so beautiful and the wildlife plentiful in this most tranquil of settings. A perfect base for exploring ...and there is so much that we still want to see, we have plans to return - to the same lovely cottage in beautiful Craobh Haven. Just thinking about it makes one wish one was returning tomorrow!

We enjoyed a lovely short break in a gorgeous part of the world. The cottage is lovely. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, cosy with a roaring fire, and very comfortable. Absolutely no complaints at all - we really enjoyed it and we're sure you will too!

Islay cottage was everything we wanted from our holiday accommodation. Clean and comfortable, a real home from home, the kitchen equipment and utensils were perfect, sometimes in rentals they leave a lot to be desired but not here. coffee percolator a nice touch.
The location is perfect for touring the west coast of Argyll, Craobh Haven although relatively new in age has character and is established within the sailing community but not exclusively. The Pub the lord of the isles is exactly that a pub and not a yacht club and all are welcome including dogs. Friendly staff and very accommodating. if you feel like a walk before your drink, you can walk over the hill to Ardfern (about 2 miles) to another nice pub.
I would recommend this cottage to anybody

Booked a last minute holiday for myself and my partner over the Easter weekend. I`ve stayed at Craobh before during many family holidays during my youth and I`m pleased to report that Craobh hasn't changed! - The village still looks picture postcard perfect. Stayed in the Islay cottage - perfect size, cosy and spotlessly clean. The cottage is very well fitted out with everything that you could want or need in a holiday cottage- kitchen has all mod-cons and the cottage has broadband & freeview TV. The views from the front of the house are amazing -especially at sunset and the place is unbelievably quiet - Croabh isn't on a through road so there is virtually NO traffic on the road in front of the house.. Loads to do in the local area - this is the perfect base for exploring the west coast & islands.
Craobh – one of the best places I know to ‘stop and smell the roses’ – to get away from it all, unwind and chill. It’s got everything – some of Britain’s most stunning scenery, filmic sunsets, an abundance of wildlife on sea, land and in the air, great walks and cycle trails, and a creelful of Europe’s freshest seafood within lip-smacking distance in quayside stalls, pubs and restaurants from Oban to Tayvallich and beyond.
We’ve been coming to Jura cottage for more years than we care to remember and it never disappoints. Cosy, comfortable and well-appointed, it welcomes us back like an old friend with a warm, familiar smile. Alison and Matthew leave no stone unturned in ensuring guests feel at home: from the personalised welcome on the fridge, fresh flowers and a fire set ready in the grate, to quality furnishings and kitchenware, and plenty of board games, DVDs and CDs just on the off-chance of a fine west highland mist. Perfect for a tranquil, comfortable, scenic escape.
I can’t agree with the guest whose only complaint (in the guest book full of helpful suggestions from previous guests about where to go and what to do) was the absence of a pizza cutter……Get real – eat local – wake up and smell the seafood, Homer; this is the west highlands!
The only complaint we ever have is having to leave at the end of the week.

Jura cottage is by far the most comfortable self-catering experience we've had in Scotland. I believe that a holiday base is as,if not more, important than the area itself. I really wanted a place that felt a pleasure to spend time in as well as to explore from. Jura cottage was certainly that. It's luxurious without being fussy or precious. Every gadget or item that you might need has been anticipated and provided...(salad-spinner,anyone?..yep!) Proper large bath towels, extra bedding..I could go on.... No sign of cutting corners anywhere.
Especially lovely was the view from the front windows....Sitting up in bed in the morning and seeing the herons, the sea, the sky, the boats... Lovely indeed.
We had a few evening meals at the local pub and enjoyed the food ( try the mussels!) and the friendliness and the views.
I wasn't sure before we got there that I was going to like that Craobh Haven is a purpose built marina village fro the 80s.( I hadn't realised until after booking) But it's lovely and doesn't feel modern and characterless at all, just pleasant, pretty and peaceful.
All in all a perfect holiday break in comfortable luxurious accommodation in a beautiful location. We're already looking at when we can come back... Highly recommended.

We spent two wonderful weeks with our daughter and husband and two little grandsons in Jura cottage. Days were filled with welly walks, playing on the beaches and climbing rocks and hills. The west coast is beautiful whatever the weather and the cottage warm and welcoming - we enjoyed the open fire in the evenings. Everyone was sad to leave.
