“Gorgeous place to stay”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

Stayed here for two nights with my elderly mother, to attend a local family gathering. Charming hosts, who know how to make you feel welcome and immediately at ease in their home. Our room was delightful and we highly recommend planning some time just to sit in the garden as a peaceful retreat. If you are bringing you dog, please keep it under control, so they do not chase or eat the turkeys, chicks and doves in the beautiful garden.

We stayed in the two separate cottages which were very clean and had good facilities. The bottom one had comfy chairs, one double bed and a single, ideal for a family, a small kitchen along with a separate bathroom all clean and also able to take a pet. The top one had a double bed, a separate kitchen with a cooker and again a separate bathroom.
Susie and Paul will make you very welcome along with Bella the black lab and Bin the turkey who has at present a family of chicks, but go before December or they will be on someone's table! Susie's breakfast, all made with produce from the farm is wonderful.
A great place to stay if visiting the area.

Room Tip: Although we stayed in the separate cottages I am sure the rooms in the farm house are excellent.

We have just stayed at Primrose House with our two young children whilst visiting Cotgrave for a family wedding. The accommodation was spacious and provided all the room we needed with en-suite shower and a small kitchenette with a fridge and kettle etc.
The hosts were extremely welcoming and nothing seemed too much trouble. We were provided with a fantastic breakfast and use of the garden. Our little boy was allowed to collect the eggs from the chickens every morning which he really enjoyed.
We will almost certainly be staying again when we visit family nearby.

Have just spent 2 great days at Primrose Cottage with my family. We were in Cotgrave for a family wedding. We occupied three very comfortable rooms. Susie and paul, the proprietors, went ou of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble. My grandson went egg collecting and had fun playing in the garden. The breakfasts were amazing. All freshly cooked and a good variety.
we were sorry to leave and would recommend staying. We will certainly go back.
Thank you Susie and Paul for your hospitality. 1

At short notice we booked an overnight stay at this friendly B&B. We have a rather large dog and where offered a court yard room that was perfect for our circumstances. Very clean and tidy and well equipped with a comfy bed. A good nights rest was followed by a freshly cooked breakfast with home made bread and preserves. The owner even minded our dog while we enjoyed our breakfast. The visit was a one off but would visit again if needed.

We have family in Cotgrave and by chance this B&B is just down the road, an quick stroll away.
We stayed in the annexe which is more like a holiday home than a B&B. Perfect for our needs, all self contained with facilities. Owners are welcoming and friendly.
Have rated it four stars as i can imagine some (very fussy) people will not be completely happy with the standard of the accommodation but we were perfectly happy.
Breakfast offered anything you requested but i am not a big breakfaster, all i did have was good.

Will definitely stay again and would happily recommend Primrose House to other family planning on visiting.

Room Tip: We preferred the annexe rather than the main house as we had the children but i am sure the other ro...

We had a stay for two nights and had a perfect stay. It's a B&B run by a nice couple that makes many of the treats for the breakfast them selfs, I.e. honey, jam, bacon etc. Our room was good and the place had a old cottage feel about it. Will would go back any time. The kids, 2 and 3 years old, had a great time collecting eggs.
