Description: Watch House Café is a breezy, easy going café in the heart of West Bay on the stunning Jurrasic Coast in Dorset, The café operates daily for breakfast and lunch, 7 days a week . The menu is continually changing to suit seasons and local availability with a large emphasis on seafood. The family orientated establishment has a relaxed atmosphere, great food, friendly staff all within close proximity of West Bay's greatest attractions, also one of the filming locations for the popular TV series, Broadchurch! Visited after the resent storms which has caused some problems locally with the beach being pushed into the properties bordering the beach area but all was OK here with good screening and shelter from the branching on shore breeze

The food looks great and fresh cooked but as we had over done things at the A303 American Diner had no room for sampling the fine fare on offer. This is a very popular café and it was full of happy eaters even in a late February Saturday afternoon. The coffee and teas were very good and if we get there without a visit to the American Diner then its fare is on the menu for a much better test of their capabilities

A definite revisit in the near future is on the cards

The cafe was busy but we were able to get a seat. They had been popular that day and many of the items were finished but I had a beautiful soup of the day that really hit the spot. The waitress could have made a better impression by knowing what was left instead of twice taking an order and coming back 5 minutes later to say they didn't have any left! It was good value too and a great buzz in the cafe. Well worth a trip for a tasty lunch.

How lovely to sit in or out with a view of the shingle beach at West Bay. Always excellent cakes and scones available; and different menu choices for lunch including their own pizzas baked in the huge pizza oven that dominates the cafe. Gluten free choices are always available and the staff are very helpful in adapting the menu to suit. Soya milk is also always available so this cafe is heaven for me. The rest of the family love it too, great for breakfast when the kids roll back home. Go and experience the Watch House and let your taste buds have a great time.

What a find. This little cafe perched on the edge of West Bay beach is a gem. The food is delicious and the choice is excellent. Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Will go back and try the pizza next time.

We just want to say what a perfect breakfast we had at the Watch House on Sunday the 8th of December. We were 10 in number and the service and staff were great. However reading the comments posted by another patron we would just like to point out that nobody seemed to be waiting for a table and we were celebrating a very special day. Thanks to Steve Atrill for helping us to have a special day.
