“We walked to Volpia from nearby Radda”

It took about an hour and a half to walk the relatively short distance from our vacation digs in Radda to the hiltop hamlet of Volpia. Boy, was it worth it! There's not much in Volpia that isn't in other area towns, but the serenity and unspoiled beauty was impressive. We got wine and cheese and used the facilities at the (only) small bar located in the town's center. There is also a very nice restaurant nearby, but we were unable to visit it due to our schedule.

I'd definitely return to Volpia and would recommend a visit to everybody.

Dating back to 13th century, this place was recommended by our the owners of the B&B and was definitely worth the visit. Beautiful architecture with one bar (Ucci), one church and one restaurant which we did not use.

Learned to cook some Tuscan dishes made from local produce and ingredients-- enjoyed with a wine tasting of various wines made at the winery including a wine tour. A little pricey but worth it.

Volpaia is well known for its wine and they did not disappoint.

The view is great and be sure and take a short walk through the village.

Be sure and buy a couple of bottles to take back to your hotel room!

Volpaia is famous for its food and wine and neither of these disappointed us - excellent. The little hamlet itself is just as charming and offers fantastic views of the Tuscan countryside as well as some perfect Tuscan village photo opportunities.
