“enchanted hill town”
Reviewed May 30, 2012

Our favorite place in Chianti because of the sheer beauty around each corner. The winding, medieval streets, the climbing rose adorning old wooden doorways, the ancient stone well, the slice of blue hills beyond studded with black cypress. Deep history here!

“The most charming place in Chianti”
Reviewed May 5, 2012

It is very small authentic villages on the top of hill, surrounded by cypresses and vineyards. The best Chianti wine maker is located here. All best things here have the same name “Voplaia”: villages, castle, wine maker, restaurant…

“One of my favorite hilltop villages in Chianti!”
Reviewed January 8, 2012

Wander through the ancients, narrow streets of Volpaia and you will be transported back in time. Nice tasting room - one of my favorite 'houses' in Chianti. Lovely little wine bar with a terrace and light plates right in the center of town. Stop for a glass of wine and enjoy the sights!
