Just returned from 4 night stay here booked via groupon. It was a well deserved break got my partner And I.
Staff : all very friendly and willing to help. Happy to speak English too.
Breakfast: continental with a eggs and bacon tribute thrown in. We didn't try it as hapoy to go continental when aware from home. Don't drink the coffee in the hot urns as it smells yuk. Order a freshly made coffee from waiting staff it hit water for your twinnings breakfast tea.
Rooms : stayed in room 214. Asked got room with view but hotel fully booked. However not a prob. We looked out on to courtyard which was fine. Bed is huge comfortable. Screens on windows to stop midges etc. no air con do a little warm dome nights. Bathroom : adequate clean and good range of toiletries even nail file cotton buds and cotton wool. However shower is a rain shower over bath but not enough power near body and its direction and shower guard is too short which means you end up flooding the floor! Not a problem as its marble floor but have to use towels to mop up. No fan either so gets very steamy.
Bar : good selection of wine. Staff happy to help you choose. Had €10 buffet on first night which was olives, capsicums, pickled onions, houmous, croissant things?, bread and cheese etc. it was ok.
Restaurant; expensive. Food - ok. Partner had chianti Classico spaghetti- house special. Basically spag drowned in a bottle of red wine which resembled purple worms! I had beef fillet - medium bit was rare. Very tasty tho and had roast pots as side dish.
Spa: €10 each for use whole duration of stay. Very good medium size pool also a jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Outside pool is freezing but free!
Veranda: enjoyed a bottle of proseco - €30 here lounging in the sun with my partner. Wonderful views and company.
Chambermaids : very good exceptional standard if cleanliness
Minibar in room : water still sparkling, pop and cans beer. Think you are charged for this
Local tax: €2.50 per person per night. Can't escape this. Is added every day.
Surrounding area : visited siena, Firenze, radda, castillena, lucca. All beautifully old lots of history shopping and fooderies. Lots to explore and soak up. Got a nice bag and shoes !
Goldcar: we purchased extra €80 waiver for car and good job we did as got a puncture on way from Pisa to radda. Partner put jack in wrong place so also buckled the car chassis a little but no charge as paid the waiver. There is a spare tyre in boot and jack kit plus triangles and hi vis jackets all compulsory abroad. Tyre is a slimmer one and you can't do over 80km on it. Roads are shockingly narrow and pot holey unless you use autostrade where you pay toll. Only used this on way to lucca on last day. All other times used ss and sr routes. Very scenic if a little scary at times! Italians are mad drivers.
All in all had a perfect holiday and would definitely go back!

We've just returned from a 5 night stay (Groupon deal) and had an enjoyable stay. Our room was at the back of the hotel so had no view but it was comfortable. Lovely clean pool, pleasant restaurant for lunch/evening, good breakfast buffet with lots of variety and friendly, helpful staff. However, the hotel is about a mile from Radda but I would not recommend walking along these roads as there is no path at all and the road has lots of twists and turns making it unsafe for pedestrians as the cars/motorbikes seem to travel quite fast. (We spoke to 2 or 3 people who did walk and said it was not too bad but we did not fancy taking the risk!) There is no shuttle service from the hotel and no taxi available in Radda so it's best to take the car if you decide to eat out in Radda.

Stayed for 4 nights in May on a Groupon deal and have no complaints.
Location- stunning with beautiful views. Don't worry if you can't room with a view as back of hotel still overlooks country side. Town of Radda in Chianti is lovely with good food and nice little shops.
Staff- Couldn't be more friendly and helpful. All staff give a friendly greeting and smile whatever there time of day. Reception happy to book things and suggest outings. Bar and restaurant staff knowledgable and friendly.
Rooms - simple, elegant and comfortable. Always cleaned to a excellent standard.
Extras- Had to pay €10 each for the duration of our stay to use outdoor pool, indoor jacuzzi, steam and sauna. We thought this was very reasonable and all facilities were excellent.
Food- Breakfast was simple but with everything you needed to start the day. The restaurant downstairs served excellent Tuscan food and wine and prices very reasonable.

For a 4 star hotel couldn't have asked for more and would happily return.

Room Tip: We stayed at back of hotel and had no complaints.

I have just returned from 3 nights at the My One Hotel Radda. The hotel is beautiful and a great location to explore Tuscany. After driving for 6hrs one day it was lovely to come back to the spa and to relax in the sun and swim in the outdoor pool.
The rooms are lovely and the waterfall shower and deep, long bath was an added bonus. The breakfast is buffet, the food is good quality and constantly being refreshed.
The staff are friendly and helpful and recommended that visit a local vineyard which was a fabulous experience.
One thing I would change about the spa are the opening hours, they are 10-7 and I think these times could do with being extended, especially as most people at the hotel are driving around during the day.

We came up looking for a fun get away from Rome for a couple days. The views from the hotel are unparalleled. It has almost everything you want, good bar, great staff, modern decor, but left a couple things to be desired.
1. shuttle service to the town. It's 1.1km away, and being unfamiliar with the terrain and manual transmission, and wanting to indulge in the fine exports of chianti, it would have been nice.
2. The restaurant was good, just good.
3. The breakfast was mediocre
4. The beds were not all that comfortable

Room Tip: ask the front desk for one with a view, great to wake up to!

This trip was booked after seeing a Groupon offer. I didn't book through Groupon but used Crystal sky holidays directly as i needed to book certain dates to tie in with work. We flew with Ryan Air from Stansted, never a problem if you don't go over your luggage allowance. We arrived at Pisa airport and made it through very quickly where we picked up the hire car which had been part of the package. This is where things became a little sticky as the girl on the desk said as we were 1.45 hrs early we needed to pay another 32 euros !!!!! i explained it was a package holiday and the return of the car was also in correct and the time stated for return would of meant we missed our return flight. I have never had this experience before at a car hire base and will not be using Goldstar again ever!!!! Basically we waited the 1.45 hrs as i felt this was a rip off. I asked at Europacar and the guy there said no he felt that was wrong also.
So finally we set off for Radda which with the sat nav proved easy. We stopped in Radda its self and enjoyed our first glass of Italian wine and a huge pizza from Pizza pie. We then left Radda itself for the two min car ride that took us to Myonehotel,
We were both pleasantly surprised at the way the hotel looked and felt ,high up in hills very peaceful calm and relaxing. We were greeted warmly and given the keys to our room. When we returned to the desk and asked if we could be moved to a room with a view she very quickly checked through some paperwork and showed us a new room in which we were happy to stay for the 4 nights.
For us the room was perfect modern clean (216). The bathroom was large with a bath and over head rain shower but also the hand shower on the taps. There were the usual supplies of shower gels lotions etc and a hairdrier. The temperature of the room was always pleasant as it had a panel of controls which worked !!! unlike most hotels where there is no happy medium.
Breakfast was more than adequate bread cheese pastries cereals etc. Scrambled eggs and bacon which i didn't try as the bacon was fatty looking and the eggs very yellow. Anyway plenty of things there to set you up for the day fruit yogurts and tea and coffee. My only complaint the coffee that sits in the stainless jug is disgusting do not even try it ask the waitress and she brings you a fresh coffee or cappuccino from the machine behind her station.Oh and that is where you get the hot water for your tea. The staff were cheerful quick to respond to any request and over the few days we were there we got chatting to the other guests who were mainly from the UK. Of an evening when our bones ached from all the walking we would head to the bar and enjoy a few drinks made by the very friendly Francesca. On the first night she asked if we would like to order from the buffet. For the price of 10 euros you can help yourself to nibbles. We did this on the second and last evening and along with the crisps and peanuts she provided with the first drink we were more than happy. The My onehotel cocktail was delicious as was the prosecco and the rose wine. You get the picture lol !!!
The main pool was empty awaiting for the warmer weather no doubt. The spa and indoor pool was available to use for 10 euros each for the duration of your trip. It looked inviting and we promised ourselves we would use it but we never did. 10 euros is not a lot of money but as a guest it would of been nice to of been offered it as the pool was empty.
Not such good bits ... or maybe room for improvements ... There was no information in the room about the hotels services. No mention of the restaurant or spa services bar menu etc etc. My husband hadn't even noticed there was a restaurant and had thought the breakfast area was it !!!! . It would of also been great to of had tea and coffee facilities in the room.
As i am writing it has dawned on me there was no in the event of fire info in the room either.
That said the hotel provided what we needed a place to rest chill relax and unwind. We were not tempted to buy things we didn't want or need there was no hard sell just friendly polite young staff happy to help whilst we enjoyed our break.
Radda is the perfect escape from the busy towns and cities we visited over the 4 days. On our first day we drove to Sienna which was bursting to the seams market day had bought everyone out so having had no luck with parking we made the decision to head to Maranello home to Ferrari. More motorway driving ( which you pay for) and my husband now smiling we arrive. As we left the car we were approached by a young lady who asked if we were interested in driving a Ferrari. Twenty mins later we are both sat in a Ferrari California Paul driving and me wedged in the back behind a guy dressed just like the F1 team. Out on the open road My hubby had the time of his life this wasn't a gentle poodle he allowed/told him to stop the car then once stopped he said foot to the floor !!!!! taking the car up to 8000 rpm. Now this trip out was not cheap but it was a once in a lifetime experience.Much better than any track day here in the UK. Now i may be wrong but i think 20 min car driving a dvd and photos (lots) came to about 190 euro. It was well worth the drive however the museum in which we had come to visit was a little small . My hubby said he thought there would of been lots more cars on show. I thought it was perfect ;) . We ate at the pit stop restaurant before heading back to Radda.
Day 2 .... saw us in Florence. Now you look on lots of websites and you will be put off from driving dont be. We googled where to park in Florence entered the details into the sat nav and although it wasn't free 6.50 euros for a days parking we felt was very cheap. The details we placed in the sat nav were VIALE DEL POGGIO IMPERIALE. On leaving the car park we turned right actually following three other tourists who had a map !! They had pointed out that as were were this side we needed to head that way as the view of the city would be fab. They were not wrong although i did worry when we over took them. When you get to the top of the road you do feel you should go left but trust me keep walking to the right and having passed lots of expensive looking gated properties and a tree lined avenue you reach an impressive looking building with a huge amount of steps. Climb them head into the building then take photos of the view of Florence it is incredible. On decending the steps and catching your breath continue on your journey heading right. You will arrive at what seems to be a giant open air car park which is free but there were no spaces even at 10 in the morning. There is a cafe or two and the usual tourist tut to buy but from here you get a real birds eye view of the city. From here you walk down into the city crossing the river into the heart of Florence.
It is beautiful and we enjoyed our time here. We didn't pay to enter any museums but as always lit a candle in the church and enjoyed our lunch sat in the sunshine. We found all of Italy expensive but i ordered from a lunchtime special menu a salad followed by spaghetti bolgnaise and a glass of white wine for 10 euros. Cheap enough but not the best spaghetti dish i have ever eaten either. We walked for miles but the sat nav set to walking helped us find the car. I can not imagine how difficult it would be walking for hours and hours in the summer months.I was very surprised at the cost of handbags shoes etc.I saw no shoes under 150 euros but lots over 300 !!! and even handbags at the market in Pisa were 70 euros upwards.
Day 3 ..... we braved Sienna again this time the market was not on and although the free car park was full we waited until we saw a lady with keys in her hand and having drove back round we were able to jump into the gap. I don't know what it is with my husband and car parks he gets all antzy but we had all day we were on holiday we had no appointments to attend we had all the time in the world lol . Now Sienna killed us both lots of narrow cobbled streets alley ways and a huge round piazza where still today they hold a yearly horse race. We sat in an open air restaurant and had lunch the sun was hot and the wind was a little chilly but we were not going to sit inside lol. We ordered lunch, two pizza and some roast potatoes. The drinks we ordered one large coffee 6 euros and a coke 5 euros bumped the bill up. Over all we both felt the food was a let down during the whole trip which was really a huge part of booking the trip in the first place. Sun wine good food you get the picture. Shins having taken a bashing from the huge amount of walking we headed back to the peace and tranquility of our hotel. After a couple of hours in the room the phone ran and we were asked if we were ok was everything alright. A very nice touch bit on hindsight was she asking if we wanted anything maybe i don't know.
Day 4 On waking still sore from all the walking the idea of a day in Pisa was not filling either of us with much joy. Having made a mental note our next holiday will be by the beach we made the very wise decision to head to the beach. Using our guide book we headed to Viareggio which claimed to be where the rich and famous have property in the hills. The sun was shining the parking easy and the view of the waves the sand and the flat pathways exciting. We spent a couple of hours here enjoying the shops and bars before heading into Pisa for the afternoon before catching our flight home. I loved Pisa we drove as close as we dared not wanting to get a ticket parked for free and having spotted the leaning tower we headed towards it. Turning a corner we both gasped at what was the magnificent leaning tower. The whole area was delightful beautiful lawned areas the usual tourist tut and just of the main area little narrow streets which led us to an outdoor market selling bric a brac then from there hand made crafts. Here in Pisa we found what we both love the beach only 20 mins away in the car, narrow streets cafes bars and more ice cream for my husband i dread to think how many were consumed in our short break. Pisa was delightful and had i not been in a panic about making it back to the airport for our flight we could of enjoyed it a good while longer. The airport from the leaning tower was only 10 mins away in the car BUT having had the drama with the pick up of the car i didn't fancy another show down on the return. Now somewhere in this review i forgot to mention my hubby's birthday late in the day we stopped in Greve we walked the square and found almost by chance a place to eat away from the main square. Here we enjoyed a bottle of prosecco two pizza a salad and the most delicious bread which almost looked like a giant crisp. We turned down the offer of pudding but were surprised when the waiter appeared with three mini puds on a plate. We thanked him :) and when i explained it was my hubbys birthday he came back with a candle.
I think we filled our days to the brim and yesterday our first day at home was spent relaxing our weary limbs. If you are heading off soon enjoy Oh i forgot to say those signs you see up in the hills warning you about deer crossing take note. As we left the hotel on our last day two deer raced /bounded across in front of our car . There mate thought better of it and turned and we caught sight of him making his hurried escape back into the forest.
Will we be heading off to Italy any time soon ? probably not did we have a lovely time yes we did will we be sipping cocktails on the beach soon yes probably. Lastly our trip was made special by the hotel being away from the hustle and bustle. Do we have any regrets about not seeing inside the museums in Florence? no..... will my hubby remember for always the ride in a Ferrari OF COURSE AND and will his waist band feel the effects of all the ice cream he at?.yes probably.

Room Tip: Just ask for a room with a view. We did and we got it

Stayed here in Sept , 2012 for 4 nights. Outstanding value. Having stayed previously in a hotel in nearby Castellina in Chianti we were very presently surprised with this property. Very clean, fairly new, great cocktail hour, comfortable rooms, beautiful view and location. Somewhat remote which made some inconvenience for daily travel. Very good restaurant on site. Will definitely return and have recommended to friends.
