Yes, it's just a friendly bar; well, believe me, here you'll taste some of the fresher ingredients in the area. The fresh pasta of the day is a must. Like eating at home.

Went there for a glass of wine and a starters, waitress was not very friendly at the least. We had just finished that she told us if we were going to order something else or not because the kitchen would close soon (it was 8 pm by the way!!;-) ) apparently we were blocking here table a bit too long and she wanted us out after 20 minutes... The antipasto was fine though.

OK, it's well known that good service can cover up on medium-low quality products, especially in the culinary business. I know that our experience's "sample" is singular, along with the fact that this sort of experiences is absolutely individual, BUT:
From the moment we arrived at La Bottega Di Giovannino, our waitress gave us the bitter impression that we are not welcomed. Makes you wander why, when you're just a quiet and harmful couple on vacation, doesn't it? The food we ordered was almost thrown on our table-top.
I would, however, mention that their wine selection is descent, their cold meat plates are OK and their pepper jam is interest.
You should note that this amazingly bad service experience was the result of one staff member only.

Delicious homemade pasta that melts in the mouth. This is the type of food we wanted to experience whilst in Italy. Excellent value for money and good friendly service. Best place we found in Radda by far.

This was one of the best meals we had in Chianti. Simple yet very tasty dishes especially the tagliatelle was mouthwatering.
To top it up the owner was very forthcoming and he also suggested a couple of places to visit since we were on a road trip.
