“Dim Sims were nice”
Reviewed August 26, 2013

OK that's why it got 2 stars as the Dim Sims were really nice (steamed). The fried rice and spring rolls were okay. But the pork with vegetables was really dry, tough and tasteless, heavy on the cauliflower and the little one or two baby corn was sour. The lemon chicken, well the sauce was like curd, very thick and the batter was very thick too so it detracted from it a lot. What a shame, I was so hoping this place would be much nicer.

“Live local, eat global”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

How often do you eat in at your local take away Chinese? We're talking kitchen chairs and tables, but everything's neat and tidy and the staff are more helpful than some at higher rated places. The menu has enough to satisfy variety oftastes (teenagers & adults +) and it was an experience that I am happy to repeat at any opportunity.

“Great food, friendly atmosphere, love it!”
Reviewed March 1, 2012

Great little Chinese/Malaysian restaurant located in the strip shopping centre on Cranbourne Rd Langwarrin near the intersection of John Street. This has been our local for years and we celebrate most family events here. Never really thought about putting it on TA before, but it is excellent so why not.
Larger round tables have the revolving lazy Susan which is great for sharing mixed dishes and banquets.
The host, Adeline is very attentive and a bit of a live wire, make sure you tell her if you are celebrating a special event!
Comprehensive menu, great dim sims as a previous reviewer mentioned, also love the roti bread, crystal garlic prawns on a sizzling hot plate, crispy plum steak and one of the best sweet and sour pork dishes going around.
Don't forget to look at the specials menu board on the wall.
You can buy soft drinks but alcohol is BYO. No problems a liquor store is right next door.
If you don't have a cooler bag, no probs, ask to use the bottom shelf of the glass door drink fridge. If the street parking is a bit full and the mechanics workshop a few doors down is closed, you can park there.
Our little town of Langwarrin became a suburb many years ago and is not exactly a tourist Mecca, but if you are attending an exhibition at the McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park or the huge Langwarrin Flora and Fauna Reserve, why not pop in?
What else is Langwarrin famous for? Well, it is the family home of Rupert Murdoch, his wonderful mother Dame Elisabeth Murdoch still lives here at Cruden Farm, 104 years old and still going strong. When Dame Elisabeth opens Cruden Farm for numerous charity open days, the Delight Inn would be a great end to your day. if you are passing in the morning and the restaurant is closed, there is a fantastic cake and home made pie shop a couple of doors down.
