We went mid-week Wednesday to Sunday, during the Danish winter holiday. The indoor water park was excellent, fun for all ages - we saw people having a great time from infants to elderly. Lots of slides at all levels, a "maze" like swimming path that goes over small waterfalls and through a "cave", a big pool with all depths, and a fun house with a timed big bucket, water cannons etc. that was also fun for all ages. The changing rooms and sauna are unisex. It doesn't take long to figure out how to use the unisex change room cubicles, but the unisex nude sauna was a surprise, and an extra cost. The queue to get in on Saturday and Sunday were a shock (especially when they closed the doors = full house) after the ease of getting in during Wednesday to Friday, so a weekday holiday is recommended.
Price wise the water park was reasonable because we took a package with apartment but the water park prices alone would have been maybe at the higher end of most pools but I think it would be value for money anyway.
The apartments were well equipped, clean and functional, in spite of showing their age a little. After eating once in one of the complex's restaurants, we drove into the nearby town supermarkets and made meals in the apartment for the rest of the week.
There is a beach nearby (for walks or runs in the winter, looked like they'd be great in summer), a big outdoor playground. There was an indoor playground too but we never tried it, we spent all the time in the indoor water park.
Bottom line, we all voted it as a place we'd go back to (we were a family of 8, 16, 45, 50 years).
