On a quiet lane only 100 yards from Oxenhope Station, the southern terminus of the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, Barn to Rest is a perfect starting point for a day on the railway either as passengers or as participants on a Footplate Experience day.

Ann and Derek are very welcoming and the double room spacious and comfortable. The thermostatic radiator valves were adjustable to our preference and piping hot water was always available. A nice touch was a vacuum flask of fresh milk for tea and coffee making.

There was a wide choice at breakfast. I can recommend Ann's Full English - a mighty plateful, perfectly cooked and including the nicest black pudding I have ever tasted! A perfect start to a hard day on the footplate!

With "The Lamb" providing excellent and affordable pub grub just up the road, The Barn is a perfect base to explore this very interesting rural area.
We will not hesitate stay here again.

We were greeted by the lovely Anne who took us to our two beautifully appointed rooms, both en-suite. We were mere minutes away from Oxenhope station which is a stop on the small but perfect Worth Valley Railway Line - literally a page from The Railway Children. A lovely Yorkshire breakfast both mornings we stayed, the most hospitable of hosts and a stunning converted barn to stay in - our overnights here could not have been better. We hope very much to return one day!

We stayed at the Barn to Rest at Oxenhope West Yorkshire last weekend. We were visiting the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway festival and the Barn is located next to one of the stations on the line. For rail enthusiasts its a fabulous location. For anyone who likes good food and similar hospitality it is ideal. The hosts Ann and Derek made our stay so pleasant. The village of Oxenhope is quiet and quaint.

Room Tip: All rooms are nice but it is a small B and B so check out what is available on their website. www.barntorestbandb.co.uk

This B&B was just amazing. The breakfasts provided were the best of our trip. The room was a twin with ensuite and was very clean and tidy. The people were so nice and welcoming. I would recommend this place for anyone traveling that way. A very quiet place to stay.
I loved it.
