If you are looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hurly burly, then Grayingham Lodge is for you. The friendly welcome and caring attention to detail is outstanding. There is plenty to see and do in nearby Lincoln and Gainsborough, but if peace and tranquility are what you're after then you have found the spot. The farm house has been tastefully refurbished to the highest standards yet retains its original feel and flavour - a real jewel in Lincolnshire's crown. Top marks to Peter and Jane.

We stayed a night with Jane and Peter last weekend and really couldn't fault it. From the friendly welcome, the delicious homemade flapjacks, the take away breakfast as we had an early start, to the comfiest bed imaginable, the whole service was spot on. Lovely sized room and bathroom, comfortable and cozy sitting room with a real fire burning, and total peace and quiet. We are already booked in twice more for later this year!

On a windswept Lincolnshire terrain, an unassuming farmhouse turns out to be a beautiful Georgian house, perfectly maintained but adapted as a B&B that offers every comfort: from fluffy robes, full en suite, to the charming breakfast room and a quite beautiful as well as tasty and satisfying English breakfast.

My husband and I were attending a wedding at nearby Bottesford this past weekend and we were so lucky to have been recommended to Grayingham Lodge. Our stay there was really wonderful and the review dated 30th January, 2012, was absolutely spot on. Thank you Jane and Peter for letting us stay at your gorgeous home, set in such a peaceful location, and for the truly delicious food you served.

We had a wonderful experience at Grayingham Lodge. Jane met us at the door and welcomed us into the drawing room--cozy and warm from a lit fire--for afternoon tea with slices of delicious homemade cake.

We stayed two nights in the Northorpe room, with the beds made up as a king-sized—very, very comfortable with beautiful linens and a selection of pillows. It is a spacious, light-filled room with views of the garden and fields beyond. The room and en suite bath were both spotlessly clean, and the bath has a lovely big tub and shower with great water pressure and plenty of hot water for a nice long soak.

Wireless internet service is provided and works like a charm, and there is a flat screen tv in the room. The room’s hospitality tray was stocked with an electric kettle, and offered an assortment of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits. Fresh milk and cold bottled water are provided in a small refrigerator.

The breakfasts were fantastic and made from locally-sourced ingredients, many from a family farm and shop just three miles down the road. The choices were vast—yogurt, fresh fruits, cereals, jams, jellies, fresh juice, full English breakfast, salmon and eggs, etc. My husband had the full English both mornings and was in heaven over it all, especially the bacon and sausages. A favorite of mine was the homemade plum compote, which eaten over a thin layer of lemon curd on a piece of brown toast was a sublime way to start the day.

Jane is a truly lovely person and we can tell she really enjoys what she does. We felt so welcome and really enjoyed our stay. She is also very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and historic attractions in Lincoln and made great suggestions on places for dinner and site-seeing. We plan on staying here again next year following my business conference, and next time we will stay longer.

I stayed here for a weekend this month as i had some work in nearby Grimsby and couldnt face staying there!! What a little find this B&B turned out to be. Not only was the room itself beautifully decorated and arranged but the couple who run the B&B were fantastically helpful and friendly. I am geographically challeneged to say the least but Jane and Peter were able tell us where to go and where to avoid and where to find the best rabbit stew etc.....

The Room; Very tastefully decorated with calm colours and good quality fabrics. We had a super kingsize bed which which was topped with magical memory foam which made it very difficult for me in the morning to accept i was going to have to leave it and go to work!! There is a mini fridge, Tea and Coffee making facilities (and homemade flap jacks) as well as a flat screen TV . The En-Suite Bathroom was again very tastefully done, with a fabulous sash window with a view out onto the gardens at the back of the property....nice view during a relaxing soak in the bath! Ohh and Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries..

The Breakfast; I cannot think of any word which describes the breakfast more than 'Heavenly'... Fresh coffee, homemade marmalade and preserves, farmhouse bread, every cereal under the sun and all sort of fresh fruit delights! I am dieting (loud groan) but my boyfriend had a superbly cooked full english made with all local produce. The Breakfast room is a lovely light and airy room with two large sash winsows looking out onto the front and the rear of the house. Nothing was too much trouble for Jane and i honestly cant think of one thing that wasn't just perfect!

The House; The house is split in two. Jane and Peter occupy a proportion of the house but the back part of the house which is accessed through a side door is dedicated space for guests. Downstairs youll find the breakfast room and then a lounge which is to the rear of the house. Again nice and light and airy with a large sash windw and countles magazines, board games and other little things to keep you entertained. Including a bottle of Gin if your lucky...

The Owners have two beatiful working dogs who provided us with some entertainment one night after returning back from the local pub. Very cleaver and cute dogs!

This is a working farm but we were not disturbed by any noise or anything usually associated with farming. In fact we commented on more than one occassion about how quiet it is (coming from london).

All in all, a real find. We had a fab time and would definitely return if we are ever uo that way again!! Thanks Jane and Peter!
