This was home to the village chief back in the days, and may be because of that, the feel is very homey. I visited the place on last September and stayed one night as we were running on a tight schedule. We stayed at Nikawewa Villa and it’s a good place for a family – spacious and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and very pleasant, it completes the picture of this great village house.
Normally I don’t eat Sri Lankan food when I go to a hotel – because that’s what we eat every day, but I’m glad I made an exception here ‘cause the food was delicious!!! If you are a Sri Lankan or a Non-Sri Lankan let me tell you to try the Sri Lankan cuisine it is splendid!!! Apart from that, activities are also pretty cool, with horseback riding, archery, cycling, kayaking in the list, but we got around only cycling and archery as we were on a tight schedule. My conclusion – it’s a great homey place to relax and get away from the stressful of life.More
