We are French couple and we had no booking at the Ciarans. We were lucky to find a room for 5 days. It is the best location on the beach and the nicest hotel. It is beautifuly well kept and Marvin the manager and his staff was very nice; We did not say in the huts but in the small building facing the sea. The room was very nice and well kept. It is a good idea to let the customer choose when he would like to have the room cleaned Food was also very good. If we come back to Goa we would certainly stay there again. Anne Marie and RIchard

For the second year running we returned to Ciarans Camp, and we will be back again for a third trip! It has a wonderful ambiance, the service is as willing and friendly as you will find, its a total chill out. If you'd like to embrace a little bit of Indian culture, rather than be behind a compound wall of fountains and marble then this is the holiday for you - its a real beach holiday with the sands and sea a stumble from your hut - you can go to sleep and wake up with the sounds of the ocean! Beautiful beaches surround you, lovely warm ocean to swim in, fantastic weather, amazing food and afternoon chai with Marvin's mama's cake, what more could you ask for. This is becoming a second home and how delighted we are to have found it - we totally recommend it, just call Marvin. See you all soon as we can!

if rustic charm, waves at your doorstep, a clean and safe hotel is what you are looking for on goa's southern hippie beach palolem is what you are looking for - ciarans is where you need to be!

bang in the centre of the beautiful palolem beach, this small resort with a cluster of rooms is tastefully done up with locally sourced materials making an effort at being naturally chic. with a lovely open air restaurants serving some very good food, free tea and snacks in the evening and other local shacks with the choicest of goa and international food available at a walk away, Ciarans is a great place if you wanna stay away from the basic rooms on the beach and yet part of the action. wake up to the waves and walk out to your private balcony soaking in the glorious Goan sun - this is the life Goa is known for .. and Cirans knows how to deliver it !

Just back from 11 nights in Palolem beach staying in Ciarans beach huts. The staff were so friendly and the food was the best on the beach. Palolem is quiet and relaxed with a little bit of nightlife going on. I had heard about the silent discos and wasnt sure what I would make of it but it is a definite must, thought it was so much fun. Lots of day trips going on to different beaches, butterfly, kola and honeymoon all fab. The nigthmarkets in North Goa is a must too. Will definetly be back and will be heading back to Ciarans for sure.

Ciaran´s is the best place in Palolem, but the competion is not that hard. We had two sun deck huts and they were quite nice, but situated very close to the kitchen so we got a lot of smoke and noise. The area and the beach in front of the hotel is kept clean. Palolem is otherwise a quite dirty beach and the water is not the clrear green/blue variant you find in southeast Asia. The food at the restaurant is very good although the menue is a bit limited. The staff are great, especially lovely Krishna. There is no hot water after 5-6 pm when everybody wants to take a shower. Most other places have sunbeds and sun umbrellas but not Ciaran´s. A big disadvantage which makes beach life very uncomfortable. We will not go back to Palolem since the beach and water is too dirty.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thanks for your review and we also appreciate your sugeestion on which we shall start working soon especially on the food menu and also on the huts near the kitchen. We would however like to update this info to everyone in General regarding the Sunbeds and the umbrellas- All temporary associations have to achieve a licence to be able to have sunbeds infront of their property which only is isued by the Tourism dept.Till date the toursim has not issued anything, which we found out after several trips to the respective dept and hence could not have the Sunbeds for the season,on the other hand the other places that do have these sunbeds are been put on their own risk or rather illegally. We also do accept the hot water is not available from 6pm onwards as it is runned on solar pannels, but would work on that one too.All in all we are happy for your valuable feedback and will try to make Ciarans better for sure.
