My first visit to Goa and south Goa was the perfect destination since I just wanted a break from my work and wanted to drink and relax on beach rather than party hard.
Me and my wife wanted to go to Agonda but unfortunately no room was available there, hence zeroed on cafe blue.
I had a very good experience there, staffs are friendly though they don't show that to every one. But once you start behaving well with them, they will really make you feel special. Karan is the best of the lot.
We stayed in AC sea front room and the view from the room was super cool. It was a decent room, but I feel it's slightly overpriced at 3500 per night, while similar rooms in other huts may cost 2000 - 2500. There was no TV in the room, which I believe is the same with all the huts in South Goa. Bathroom was decent and AC was too good. :)
Restaurant is the best thing about cafe blue. You just sit there and drink drink and drink looking at the sea and people out there. And they have a 32 inch TV there, and if you follow EPL, you will love sitting there and watching the game on weekends. Food was amazing starting from sandwich, omelette and juice we had for breakfast to Chicken tikka we had with drinks.
Overall it was a nice stay, but not sure about coming back here because we want to try Agonda next time. :)

Room Tip: Go for only AC sea front room..

We loved stayin there. Wonderful experience. Food was good and the staff was very friendly. Right on d beach. Clean and away from d crowd. Good for those who want isolation from d crowd and relax. The only problem we came across was d bathrooms were not properly maintained. Else gr8 place to hang out wid d family. Have d pArty options tooo for d party animals.

Everything was wonderful - great location, beautiful beach and place, nice and friendly staff, excellent cuisine - Indian and continental. I definitely recommend it. We spent 12 days and had no problems.

Room Tip: I recommend the cottage overlooking the sea.

We originally booked 3 nights at Cafe Blue, staying in a sea facing room which was absolutely amazing. The staff were fabulous, always smiling and ready for a chat, and the whole set up was sooo relaxing. This little piece of heaven is at the northern end of the beach, which in my opinion is the best part, just metres from where the river flows into the sea.The beachfront was fab, just 6 pairs of sunbeds and next to a working fishing boat that was fascinating to watch when it brought in every day.The whole area is fantastic for nature lovers and bird watchers, everyday you can see different things and this year we found a sea eagles nest complete with a family of them. Our room was really big,the bed really comfortable and better than anywhere else we've stayed in Palolem.Air conditioning was a real plus and the restaurant, complete with lovely bean bags was a great place to chill out. we didn't eat there in the evenings but the standard of food at both breakfast and lunch was great-the banana chocolate pancaked for breakfast were yummy,so much so, I ate them every morning. As there are only about 10 bungalows, this is a really lovely place to stay,we were fortunate enough to be able to stay for another nigh at short notice,we had to move rooms but this was no hassle at all, and our second room was absolutely fine and really comfortable.
We're seriously thinking of booking 2 weeks at the cafe blue for our next holiday in Goa because we loved it so much.Palolem is a beautiful place, and Cafe Blue and its staff, the absolute very best-thank you so much from Sally and Kevin

Room Tip: All rooms are spacious and clean, rooms that are not on the actual beachfront are quieter, but nothing can beat waking up and opening your door to the stunning view.

Stayed there for only one day and want to return there as soon as possible!! We booked it directly from Cuba Goa group booking page and we were a bit dilemma as the room prices were quite a bit high for the time of February end. And that is the only reason I have cut a mark from overall rating and made it very good instead of excellent. But as they need to re-build the cottages every year and they provide a better than the best service, over charge in somewhat OK. We took a sea-view cottage, which is the best hut if you want some privacy. The cottages are specious, neat and clean, with a terrace having two chairs to enjoy the beach view. In the early evening we went to the right, had to cross a river with very low water and had an awesome view of sunset. It came as quite a pleasant surprise as we did not have any idea about that. we saw sunset bar but did not enter though they play very nice music. But DO remember not to wait long after sunset to come back as the water level of the river increases immediately and if you don't know the right place where the water level is minimum, you might need to swim back. Or you can hire a kayak and reach the sunset point through water - might be more interesting option. The dinner we had was quite good. And we saw people from other places were coming there for dinner. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there but the breakfast was far better compared to other meals. The dining/bar area is quite nice with comfortable chairs and bean bags. The stuffs there, specially Vicky, were very friendly and helpful. It's a pity that we spent only one day there and had to come back after that. But whenever we would think about Goa, we would think about Palolem and Cafe Blue.

Room Tip: Sea facing huts are more private. Don't opt for non AC rooms if you do not travel in Dec-Jan.
