Manveer and his team run an excellent place. We wandered in by mistake- we were actually looking for Magic Italy - but we were happy that we did! The menu stands out due to the variety as they serve both continental and north indian food. The food was extremely tasty and our delight was further compounded when we came to know that their food is free of any cream and cheese (Manveer informed us that as a principle he believes that low fat cooking can result in a tasty meal). Also , all meals are cooked fresh which one can make out while eating , on the flip side your food could take a little while longer to come. Our order of hummus with nan, tomato based pasta , chole and dal were all excellent . This took me by surprise beacuse usually you dont find a place where both continental and indian food is excellent , mostly one finds that if a place has good indian food the taste of continental food is slightly indianised. It wasn't the case here and we had a very tasty meal.
The ambiance of the place is such that everyone appears to be in a relaxed and friendly mood. They have placed a number of table games in the centre to keep their guests occupied and the owner along with helpers serve you with a warm smile.
All in all a really good experience.

This is one of the few places that remains open all year round in Palolem and I'm so glad they do! We came back here every day for at least one meal even though it wasn't on the beach. It has a really nice ambience, very good service and excellent food. They even have a few board games that kept us occupied over the endless glasses of port wine and the sound of the rain.

Best place to eat in Palolem! Plenty of fresh food to choose from, well presented and good value. Don't be fooled by the shack look it has, the food that comes out of that kitchen is very professional. Board games over dinner definately a highlight. Ambiance, ambiance, ambiance!

Once we found this place we came back for breakfast, lunch and dinner most days. Much better than anywhere else in Palolem. The menu is great and the specials board regularly updated. Also some of the cheapest food we ate. Try their poached eggs or the kebabs. They use chicken breast and fresh bread, a rarity in India.

We were encouraged into crunch through a combination of the nice decor (carved wooden tables and comfy cushions are always more welcome than plastic chairs!), the offer of board games and the fact that we kept seeing the smiley waiter cleaning tables (a rarity!). We were never disappointed. The menu offers a great variety of food that always hits the spot- be it indian or western, the kitchen here really seems to deliver and it is clear that pride is taken in the food. Prices are very reasonable and far cheaper than restaurants on the beach, which charge a premium that is not reflected in the food. Drinks are equally well priced and dangerously tempting.

Crunch also offers some of the best service we received in India, relaxed yet attentive and always friendly.

Definitely recommended- and try the brownie it is incredible!!
