“A falls without any water.”
Reviewed December 16, 2012

Its awesome, and even it was practically dry, the thought or the vision of it filled with water gives breathtaking effect inside. The place takes you to primival times, and it creates an aura even when it is dry. The guides inside were pretty helpful yet unassuming.

“Breathtaking View”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

We visited this place on 26th November 2012. It is 20 kms from Khajuraho, half an hour drive on Ken River in Chhattarpur district of MP, situated in Ken Gharial Sanctuary which falls under Panna Tiger Reserve. Main attraction is 5 km long, 100 feet deep gorge made of pure crystalline granite in various colors – pink, black, red, yellow, grey and is made of volcanic eruptions. It is mini Grand Canyon of India.
The falls are seasonal. Every year, from July to September, the falls are full of water and become mini Niagara Falls with breathtaking views. From October to June, falls are basically dry.
Facilities available at the attraction are:
1. Neat clean toilets are there.
2. Souvenir shop
3. Small snacks, tea and coffee shop
4. Guide service available included in entry ticket

Entry ticket rates are as follows:
2 wheeler (1-2 pax): INR 40 for Indians and INR 200 for foreigners
Auto (1-4 pax): INR 80 for Indians and INR 400 for foreigners
Jeep/car (1-8 pax): INR 200 for Indians and INR 1000 for foreigners
Mini bus (9-10 pax): INR 800 for Indians and INR 1600 for foreigners
Cycle or on foot: INR 15 for Indians and INR 150 for foreigners
Guide fees: INR 40 per vehicle

This site must be seen twice if possible – During rainy season and during dry season.

“Unforgettable scene of Huge Waterfalls!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Raneh falls is a must-visit if you're in and around Khajuraho. It's barely 20 kms (half-an hour drive) from Khajuraho near the Ken Gharial Sanctuary. Although, we visited after the rainy season was over, the mere shape and size of the falls and gorges took our breath away. It is too beautiful a place to be so less-known! Spending 1-2 hours should be good enough to expplore the natural beauty of the surroundings!

“A lot more than a waterfall!”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

We had no idea what to expect. India tends to oversell things but this is one of the great undersells. To call this vast gorge a waterefall is a master understatement. It's a stunning place and if you add a visit to the park it's a gorgeous way to start the day. We saw spotted deer, nilgai and a jackal as well as the massive gorge and left astounded that it was all encompassed in a description "waterfall"!

i had seen lots of photographs of grand canyon but when i reached Raneh fall it looked like i am seeing some part of it.it has 5 kilomeres of canyon with different colours of rock.this place is described as a fall which is non existant other than in rainy sason so most people are disappointed while reaching here, but if it is described as a rock beauty formation place its tourism value may be highly enhanced in my opinion.
