This is well worth the visit. The presenter is highly entertaining and highly skilled. Gift shop has quality items at reasonable prices. Wish I had done the farm tour too. Will do it next time.

I visited the Agrodome with a Great Sights coach tour from Auckland to Rotorua. It was interesting hear about the history of one of New Zealand's most important industries and who doesn't enjoy playing with farm animals? It was definitely enjoyable to watch the children on the tour interacting with the animals.

The staff and guides were knowledgeable and happy to answer questions.

I really have no complaints about the Agrodome per se, but given the choice, I would have preferred to skip it to allow more time at other stops on the tour.

If you have children you should definitely take them here!
If it's included in a tour with other things you really want to see, and can't get those things somewhere else, well, there are worst places to spend some time.
Otherwise, I wouldn't bother spending the time here.

Good place to enjoy watching the sheeps, cows, ducks and dogs entertain. Firstly the show was about how many breeds of sheep existed ( There was this Merino and drysdale which were soo woolly). Next is the shearing and we get to feel the raw wool. Then came where the dogs took care of ducks. the cow milking procedure. Young kids were called on stage to feed milk to fawns and baby lambs. Pretty to watch. there was the scene where the dogs sat on top of the hefty sheep too. Overall the show kept me glued to stage. After teh show, we had a chance to take pictures with the sheeps closely. It was my first experience to touch a fat sheep :) They do have souvenir shops. and apart from the show, there were grazing llamas and other animals, which we explored around.

For people that have once in their lives been in a farm, the visit was just a repetition of what one would have seen before. The sheep show was good but a little too short (45 min.). Worth going but I wouldn´t expect too much...

Our nieces loved this place as they got to play with baby goats, lambs & young fawns. They also got to go up on stage and have their photo taken with all the sheep breeds and pat the dogs. The show was great and very funny and entertaining for both young and old. They cater for a number of nationalities with headphones for them to listen to the show in their language.

Well worth a visit.
