“Should have gone to Plough Inn”
Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

We came here for Sunday lunch with my daughter and my two grandparents(both 85).We were very disappointed-firstly with the slow bar service, female bar staff tended to serve people she knew/liked first. No choice of vegetables-choice of carrots, peas,or cauliflower cheese,no mash potatoes.Dismal choice of puddings aswell. On a good note the bouncy castle outside was good for my child and the grassed area is nice to sit out on-when there are any tables to sit at that aren't reserved!

“Welcoming staff and great value food”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

Situated opposite the entrance to Cayton Bay holiday park this pub is great. We had Sunday lunch and 2 other evening meals as it is sooo much better value than the on site pub.
Portions are big and homemade- I loved the lasagne and the steak pie looked very nice!
Prices are reasonable for both food and drinks.
There is a small play area outside which my boys enjoyed using.
You can eat I the main bar area or in the conservatory.
The Sunday carvery is fantastic value def worth a visit but get there early as it does get busy.

“Friendly staff make it a really enjoyable place to eat and drink.”
Reviewed March 25, 2013 via mobile

The food is good value for money and drinks are reasonably priced. But for us the friendly staff make everyone so welcome, regulars and visitors alike. We will definitely return to the Tow Bar on our next trip to the area.

“"first visit"”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

just had a week in park resorts with our dog and if only you would let us bring our dog in after 5oclock we may have eaten in their every night when we came in their was only 5 people in maybe if you make it a bit more dog friendly you may get a few more in with the site not allowing them in dog owners should be treated the same .
