Mmm as stated in an other review this isn't a restaurant but an hotel.
It exist in two parts. We stayed here with a group (a bus tour). The hotel was clear, and I had a good sleep in the night. It's near to Vienne, easy by train to reach.
But...why I only rate it one start: the staff...they are really unfriendly. At the dinner table the waiters were harsh, ...thank you they don't know...also the food wasn't very good. It was buffet, but when you where late, there wasn't anything left (our tour guide organised an acitivity and agreed with the staff we would be late, 50 people late and here was nothing left or at least not enough)
It's not a 4 star worth hotel....If the staff would be a little bit more friendlier and the food enough, I would rate it 3 or 4

I'm not sure why TripAdvisor categorizes this hotel as a restaurant only property, it is in fact a hotel located in two buildings joined by an enclosed wooden bridge, and is in the heart of the Vienna woods. Currently it is being used by Leger tours in the UK to accommodate British tourists visiting Vienna on tours.

As Leger travellers, our rooms were located above reception (303 and 304) on the 3rd floor. The hotel's main facilities are located in the other building, which I suspect is the older and possibly the original building, across the (creaky) bridge. This is typically Tyrolean in style with wooden balconies adorned with flowers. Facilities include the restaurant and indoor swimming pool.

Breakfasts and dinners were served buffet style, with a very good salad buffet and 1 hot meat and 1 hot fish dish to choose from (so not much choice) but the food overall was very good and plentiful. They also have an excellent cheeseboard. If you're with Leger, water is served with your meal and drinks are available from the bar (service is slow however).

The hotel provided entertainment on one evening in our two night stay, a nice gesture as the only hotel on the tour to do so, a keyboardist/singer who again was very good and ensured an enjoyable evening.

The swimming pool is a strange affair. Its in the basement, and you step straight out the lift into the gent's changing room (so ladies, I hope you're liberal minded or able to use the stairs!). The lights keep going out (which could be the slogan for this hotel...see below) and, just as the Austrians and Germans seem to like it, the pool is COLD.

Now to the accommodation. Oh dear. By and large its pretty clean, but from the moment you step into the lift (there are two - one in each building) from the smart reception, your heart sinks. The lift is dingy, scruffy, battered and groans between floors. The corridors have marked and stained painted walls, dingy lighting and drab decor. This theme of stained walls and dingy lighting continued into my bedroom (have they bought a job lot of 30 watt lightbulbs?), which also had peeling plaster, stains on the carpet and the dirty bedside chair. The chairs were a disgrace - the tub chair in the adjacent room was ripped open with stuffing protruding from the arms. These items should have been thrown in a skip long ago. The beds (twin mattresses) were like slabs of uneven cement, hard and seemingly sagging to one side, with ill-fitting covers. The bedroom furniture was out of the ark - no doors on the wardrobe - whilst the dressing table was covered in cup rings and scratches ingrained into the surface.

Whilst not a mandatory requirement of tourist board inspected accommodation, a decent sized TV (usually flatscreen) is normally a standard feature now in 3 star hotels or above. Here we had a tiny portable with the wrong remote control. There are no English channels in any case.

The quilt and pillows were fine, and the private facilities were clean (the toilet, however, is one of the awful ones that catches your stinking excrement on a shelf first so you can properly inspect it before flushing it into the pan!). The hotel overall feels shabby, rundown and dated. It would benefit from a lick of paint inside and out and brighter lighting. The bar / reception reeks of smoke constantly, this smell carries on up the stairs and into the bedrooms (even on the 3rd floor) despite the best efforts of the cleaners to open the windows. The grand piano in the lobby is neglected and way out of tune. I sat on a sofa in the lobby and sank straight down - the springs had gone. Attic rooms provide risk of head injury getting up/down.

The staff seem friendly and it was fine for a short stay, but if re-inspected tomorrow its rating should drop. It's not 4-star.
