Description: Kopi de Phuket, a very small restaurant, has made its name in Phuket Town since a while... it looks strangely familiar and serves some really typical Phuket dishes in an eclectic decor, but what Kopi de Phuket does best is coffee Phuket style. In fact there are two Kopi de Phuket, the original one opened in 1999 is a very very tiny place at the famous 'On On Hotel (you know, the movie 'the beach'), and the second one opened in 2004 on Phuket Road is more of a restaurant. The decor is made of bric-a-brac from the sixties, the way old shops used to like, with a good touch of Chinese decoration. The place feels fun and cozy. You can just take a short break in your Phuket town exploration and try their famous and excellent Kopi, a glass filled with concentrated milk and coffee, or even better a tea with its characteristic orange color. Their drink list fills half a full black board wall and include some really tempting names: Serong tea, Bha Bha tea, Lo Han Guo, Kopi O Leng (O Leng means condensed milk), Hot Phuketian Soy Milk, Kopi Cham (mix tea and coffee)... It will take me several trips to try them all. Don't go there for an espresso or some fancy Starbucks sophisticated drink, they will serve you, but that might be a bit far from your expectations. So we had to try some real Phuket specialties, what would be the point to have spaghetti Bolognese? The Phuket Pork Noodle soup was good and the fishcakes were really tasty with this particular herb taste, but we couldn't finish them all. The pink fermented tofu (Sufu) with rice was also good, but you will have to try it by yourself to decide if you like it or not, I'm not a tofu fan, but I did enjoy this one. Then you have the typical desserts such as Sesame balls in sweet ginger or Gingko hot milk. Verdict? Kopi de Phuket is more a nice break to enjoy some authentic old-fashioned tea or coffee than a stop for the food. Thank you

WoW…, theres so much packed into this little space, only about 6 tables!

It's decorated with some very old Bric a Brac one piece would have to be the oldest, and largest valve radio I've ever seen.

They specialise in Tea & Coffee blends and mixes, choices are mind boggling so I had a Chocolate Volcano - very nice, though as usual here in Thailand I have to insist they not add sweetener.

Plenty of choices with food as well, we ended up having salads and a mushroom dish - average size servings, if you're still hungry their fridge has plenty of nice looking cakes.

Around the counter is a selection of chips, nuts and other specialty items.

There are some similar shops close by though this one is Air Conditioned!

Food is just okay. All kind of food are expensive than it should be.

Service is normal and all waitress are not a girl, they and transform to be a man.

Area is pretty small but 2nd floor is bigger but no waitress.

They serve coffee and foods, pretty same with Oldtown White Coffee outlets in Malaysia.

They sell some local snacks, coffee/tea products also.

Food is average, pricing is average also. Nothing too special but if you want to have a normal lunch or breakfast then it's good. It's particularly best place for those who want to taste local food but don't like the too spicy-salty-sour style of their local food.

It's a great place to chill but their food is just average only. Their Kopi kinda sweet. I hope they could improve it and it will be great. Overall, it's just average..

It's new years day and we just tried out this cafe in Phuket town because it was the only one open nearby.

The foods not cheap but it's not bad either! The only thing that was annoying was that the waitresses stand over you to order while you are trying to make a choice - I'm unsure if this is just a Thai thing? Anyways our food arrived at diff times but it was tasty and they offer nice variations if you're sick of just Thai food.
