Its a lovely centre but has all the shops we have at home, only much more expensive! Its aimed at tourists but tourists want to buy Thai products not something they can buy at home.
It was good when we'd had a bit too much sun and wanted to spend the day in air conditioned comfort drinking coffee and eating cakes. Also handy for rainy days.
Something which we noticed which we found rather odd and amusing at the same time - we arrived just as it opened and everywhere we looked all the shopworkers were doing their hair with straighteners or putting on their makeup. At one point we looked down the aisle at the stalls outside the shop and at every single one there was a woman straightening her hair! Then we tried to buy something in the chemist and couldn't even get close because the workers were doing their makeup in the mirrors and seemed to be using the testers!!
Thailand is famous for its friendly service and we found this true everywhere except central festival!More
