My other planned hotel was full so just staying here for 2 nights,, but will not stay another night after tonight. Checked in and hauled all the bags to the room, with help from the same van driver that picked us up at the airport. Got to the room and it was totally heat soaked, no a/c on in the room for a day , the walls, floor, everything was hot to the touch. They knew I was coming, they could have turned the air on 30 minutes before I arrived you would think. Got in, turned air on. Took a shower to cool off and a huge cockroach came up out of the drain. Killed him and flushed down the toilet. No shower curtain so water everywhere. Just a tub with a flex hose for a shower.
The phone didn't work, so had to call the front desk from my cell phone. Told them the room phone doesn't work as I wanted to order some room service,, but no menu in the room. So, please bring me a menu, and another phone. Time is now 9:30pm... 10 minutes later a girl shows up with a menu, and a maint guy with another phone. She leaves the menu and comes back in 10 minutes to take our order. Called and asked for the duty manager, there is none. I asked for the phone number of the hotel manager, was given it, called, no answer, just rang and rang.
I haven't had the breakfast yet, so will add to this tomorrow... But thus far, this place rates a -5 star in my book. Except for the van driver, who did his job well.
Oh, and the lock on the door looks like the room has been previously been broken into. A good tug on the door and it will open.
