The driver from the resort picked us up at the airport from our late flight and refreshed us with water. We took a 30Min trip to the resort and were greeted by the very attentive and friendly staff. We stayed a week in a private pool villa which was everything you could hope from a lovers getaway. The bed is very large and extremely comfortable. The bathroom is HUGE! Equipped with both an indoor and outdoor shower and massive tub. We loved having our own private pool which we could hop in and out of at our convenience day and night. The villa is an oasis for couples and this is where we spent most of our time. This is not a large resort so it's very quiet and peaceful away from the tourist areas. When we did go out we enjoyed walking the beautiful grounds of the resort or stepping just outside for a cocktail at the bar on the waters edge and patting the adopted dogs from the resort next door. We took good use of the free bicycles to check out the beautiful area which is underdeveloped, get supplies at the local store and enjoy lunch. There are many small family owned restaurants around that are cheap and the most delicious, authentic Thai food. We also enjoyed a cooking class back at the resort which was a lot of fun! I'd highly recommend this. The spa is high class and private for those who are not keen on public massages at some of the more cheaper places.

The resort is downright appalling. The bathtub is so dirty that I can't imagine anyone wants to dip in. The pillows are smelly, towels in different shades of gray color. I seldom post a comment but staying in this resort for two nights gave me enough incentive to give a warning to any travellers to Koh Samui.

Dear Lawrence,

Thank you very much for your time in writing this valuable review for us. Let me start by personally apologizing for the inconvenience these issues may have caused you. We apologies that our service was not up to our usual standard.

As part of our property upgrade we are currently refurbishing all the bathtubs. It is important for us to not only have great service provided by our team but to ensure that the product is also being delivered with the same quality. We acknowledge that we did not meet the linen standard promised due to laundry issues and for that I apologies. I have addressed the issues with the proper departments to ensure we do not have issues like this again.

My team and I would like to thank you again for writing these valuable incidents that have come across your stay and apologies.

Thank you very much for your time.

Our trip was even more memorable also because it was Songkran (Thai New Year) - the staff made us feel very welcome and did everything they could to keep us happy. The breezy feeling you get while having your meals at the 4K (pronounced Fork) makes you feel laid back. Breakfast might not have a large spread but was adequate.

Simply tranquil and you definitely get a lot of privacy.
The staff are more than willing to help out with your request.
They even provide transportation FOC from X2 to Chaweng and Lamai which leaves at 2 p.m and pick up at 6 p.m. However, there are also cars, bikes and 4WDs for rental through the hotel's contacts.
We hope the hotel continues to keep up the good service.

Tucked out the way in a less developed part of the island made this a perfect place to stay for 5 nights to totally unwind and relax during Songkran. We stayed in a deluxe pool villa and it was just beautiful. The raised walk way that leads you down a tree lined avenue meandering towards the beach leads to all the villas. You go through your own double doors to your private pool and garden area and as you walk in are greeted by a modern, cool, functional and dare I say romantic interior. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. The only problem in the bathroom is that the bath is sooooo big it takes a long time to fill ;) The communal pool is large and has lots of areas to relax and the beach is so tranquil you could be forgiven for thinking you were the only people in the world while sat on it. There is a rock outcrop that protects this beach so the water is very shallow and calm for a few hundred meters out to sea. The complimentary champagne breakfast daily, could you ask for more? I did and it kept on flowing ;)
The resort is only 10 minutes from Akamai and the hotel car goes there and picks up daily.
Last thing to mention, the restaurant food is out of this world, expensive for Thailand, but out of this world :)

Great use of the airport shuttle arranged by the hotel staff, waited for us even though our flight was delayed & the comfortable air-conditioned van & cold water was a lovely welcome.
The staff were incredibly friendly & eager to help with information & arranging transport to the ferry.
We did the couples 2hr treatment at the spa, which was expensive (4500thb) but included the best massage I've ever had, the therapists were experienced and strong.
The pad Thai from the restaurant was lovely!
Would definitely recommend to others, especially couples.

Room Tip: Room no 18 was great, aircon worked well.
