First of all let me say the staff at the Ocean View Terrace for breakfast are wonderful people. Ginger who has worked there since the hotel open 20 years ago is an amazing and kind person, she always remembered our names and greeted us each mooring with an Aloha! Hotel gave us an up grade from partial ocean view to full ocean view room. Much appreciated as we had been to the hotel 3 previous times and were happy to stay in the same tower number 4 felt like going home again. I truly enjoyed the Beach Grill staying open longer at night with the Hawaiian music it made it feel more relaxed than the previous week when it closed at 6:00 staying open until 8 was a good ideal and should be open all year round that late. I do wish they would clean up around the pool a little more. I noticed the pool deck did have trash that was not cleaned up during our stay but that would be my only complaint. Place is heaven and peaceful and quite.
Spa is wonderful ask for Rebecca she is amazing. Thank you Hapuna Beach Prince hotel for a wonderful relaxing vacation at a hotel with the Aloha sprit.

Fabulous hotel , I can't say enough about the staff especially (Yuki) Julie and Sylvia, they were very friendly and attentive. If I were to go back it's certainly because of them and the view. Certainly this is a lovely hotel but there are others equally the same or greater. The beach was fine, I've visited other beaches in the Caribbean that were more appealing. If I had anything to negative to say about this trip , was during our stay all the restaurants and bars closed way too early. Of course they shuttled you between their sister hotel or you had to rely on room service anytime past 9.30. buyer beware , inquire about all additional surcharges i.e. porter if you do not wish to be surprised. Shop for all inclusion, as it can prove quite costly.

Room Tip: Try and obtain the ocean view as it made a world of difference,

This hotel is just fine - especially since we got a good deal via Costco travel. But it is missing all the special touches that would make it a much nicer hotel. It is a bit drab, the room smelled like mold on and off, the grounds were fairly austere for Hawaii and the lovely woodwork needs some tender loving care. It seems a hotel from the 80's that never really got updated much. The best part is that you can go over to the Mauna Kea - which is still a wonderful hotel after all these years - and use the beach and the restaurants. Again - the Hapuna Prince is not bad - it is just not as nice as you expect from this part to the Kohala coast.

the beach is nice. lots of sand, lots of people. it lacks a certain charm that other beaches in the area have. Still, I cant wait to go back and snorkel it alot more thoroughly.
I was dissapointed that the bar at the pool wouldnt serve me and my girl unless who showed I.D's. I know its the law and all that but they were not carding the fat gray haired old people laying around everywhere. If they have room charge priviledges, they should have the persons age written down...or something other than making me walk all wet and sandy all the way to my room which is on the far far side of the hotel. Plus the hours of the poolside bar were atrocious. Everything in this place stops @ about 5pm and last call for drinks is at like 8 or 9. I mean, is this a resort or a old folks home. because it felt more like a reitrement home at time. the breakfast and dinner are very overpriced for what they are. I think $50 a person for breakfast buffet, and the buffet is like, 1 4x8 table of waffles n cereal. i've been to a motel 6 with better breakfast for free. they have these nice wicker chairs everywhere in their atrium, but, the one I chose had a bee's nest inside of it. i bought some cereal and milk from their little store. $8 for 1 8 oz milk and 1 mini cereal. its not that it cost alot, its that its straight price gouging in every way possible. im ok with paying 300 per night, but why do you need to make an extra $200 a day off me just to live and breath your air. its not that I didnt have the money, its just offensive to pile up the costs like that. there are no ice machines in this hotel. you have to have them send you up ice with a maid which may take some time and prolly cost you another tip. the valet stops working at about 9, so, valet is pointless at this hotel, you have to fetch your own car from the valet parking lot and they still charge you valet costs. this hotel would be awesome if they refocused it towards a younger crowd, and made it way more accomodating, like all inclusive would be great, and stop ripping me off gently on every single possible thing. i could go on and on, it all had such potential but the basic policy and functionality of the hotel really =really= brought it down. ill still go back ill just do it different. to anyone going, ask to be as close to the beach entrance as possible, ask for extra guava juice, they have a refridgerator in the room so come prepared. oh, my lanai had all these dont smoke signs and then a giant cigar burn on the table. i was confused, so i smoked my blunts down on the beach, with the 1000's of crazy sand crabs. circular cup stains on the bedside tables, bathtub floor looked scary. i kept my flip flops on.

Room Tip: ask to be as close to the beach ENTRANCE as possible

Great hotel with a great and friendly staff. Had an ocean front room on the ground floor, which was great with a 6yr old just to walk out and run or throw ball in the large grassy area. very large but basic pool, could use another hot tub. Rooms were nice, nothing special (actually had paint peeling off in the bathroom) but the view from the room was incredible of a great beach. Be prepared for everything to shutdown early. they say the pool is closed at 7 but you can still use it if you are quiet. if you like seclusion this is a great place. golf course to me is overrated, glad I waited to play till the afternoon when rates drop about 50%. sign up for Prince rewards, or whatever it is called, because they gave us free internet with it. if not be prepared to pay close to $12 a day per device!!!

Room Tip: I was able to look at 2 rooms before deciding. first one was premium ocean view which was very disap...

Rooms where comfortable with nice linens on the beds. Large hotel, so be prepared to walk just to get to different areas. There are beautiful views on the way. The resort is not near any other restaurants, they have a few dinning options and a cafe with take out food. We enjoyed our stay on the beautiful beach. Just 30 minutes to the airport.

Room Tip: Make sure you are not too far from the beach.
