Was the ideal place for us as our son lives in Uppermill have struggled finding pet friendly accommodation in this area so this was perfect. The cottage was really well equipped with high quality furnishings and equipment. Loved everything about it. Delph is a lovely village with pubs, eating places and supermarket. Will definitely return. Thank you Jane.
Perfect little getaway with all the amenities required - beautiful area for walks and pubs and proximity to Manchester - highly recommend !
The cottage has been tastefully modernised whilst retaining its character. It enjoys a lovely steep, rural outlook. A small supermarket and places to eat out lie within walking distance. We were here for three nights visiting friends in the locality and were blessed to be out walking on the warmest April day for 70 years! If you like a door on the bathroom or a dining table, this might not be the place for you, however, we very much enjoyed our stay.
We were in the area to attend a funeral and this beautiful little cottage was just the perfect retreat after an emotional day. Jane the owner was so kind and allowed us to access the cottage really early in the day to get changed and ready for the funeral after a long early morning drive.
The cottage, although tiny is beautifully furnished and we loved sitting at the end of the bed with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise over the hills.
We also recommend the Bay Leaf Indian restaurant as a previous reviewer has.
We hope to return to this cute bolthole in the future, under happier circumstances.
Booked Dairy Cottage for a two-night flying visit to Delph whilst visiting family. The cottage was perfect for the two of us - two rooms (kitchen/sitting area and bedroom with en-suite shower room), with all the equipment you could need. The bed was comfy, toiletries and towels were top notch. The kitchen is fully equipped (not that we needed most of it - I can recommend the Bay Leaf Indian restaurant a minute round the corner in the village!) and there's free wi-fi too. Only a short stay, but would definitely recommend the cottage for anyone visiting the area - which is lovely in itself, with plenty of walks and proper pubs. Just don't get too hung up about which side of the Lancs/Yorks border you are on as it might have moved while you weren't looking!.
Really enjoyed a one night stay.
The cottage was exactly as Jane described.
Ideal for 2 and cosy for 4, You will need to get on though.
Parking was not an issue as places on main road.
Well equipped and very modern.
Will visit again.
Amazing location! Saw a fox and a deer in the field behind!!!breathtaking!!! Very close to shops pubs and supermarket!
Also nice restaurants within walking distance! It's a beautiful, little cottage with a very comfortable bed and lovely outlook from kitchen window. Highly recommend staying here!!
