“Perfect place to Chill Out”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Not only is the wine tasting generously poured and the atmosphere fun and funky but the food is modern & fresh - made from simple, quality ingredients and served in a setting that allows you to escape for a couple of blissful hours.

“Really wonderful experience”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

On my first visit to Perth, I was advised to take a trip out to the Swan Valley area and check out the vineyards.. we stumbled upon Lamonts based on other tripadvisor review and went out to visit.

I went with a family of 4 with twin 1 year old girls, and they handle our seating easily, the food was quick despite it being fairly busy, they offered us to come up to the counter and just ask to sample whichever wines we wanted...

the Chenin Blanc was excellent, and as was the muscat dessert wine... I had the vegetarian platter and it was outstanding in terms of both value and taste...

The only reason I did not give this an excellent is that there were two resident dogs that were part of the experience, and while this cause me no consternation, it affected members of my party, and others would be as affected.

“Delightful lunch-with gluten free”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Spent a lovely Saturday afternoon lunch with 4 generations of family here. Ages from 2 to 84, with one member Gluten intolerant and everyone was happy.Lamont's has a large open air area with long tables seating up to 16-18 and many more smaller tables with umbrellas, all surrounded by bush and winery. The new May menu is now available with many smaller sharing plates, with 5 being gluten free and 3 of the 4 desserts also. Gluten free biscuits are also available instead for those unable to indulge in the baguettes on offer.
Food and drink are ordered in the cellar door, with wine tastings to try before choosing what to have. Service was swift and food appeared quickly as ordered. We tried the Arancini, Salt and Pepper Squid, Tempura prawns, and Brie plates. Also from the kids meals, Crumbed Chicken and chips. All was very good, tasty and hot. For desserts the highlight was a Chocolate and Walnut Brownie -GF friendly- absolutely delicious. Cold water and glasses are stacked in barrels, ready for taking and we drank Lamont's 2009 Vintage Sparkling, very nice Methode Champanoise bubbles. Average prices for share plates is around $16-$17, so the bill can mount up depending on appetites but well worth the effort. All round a great day out, especially if the weather is fine and sunny.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

This restaurant was suggested to us by tourist information. Well it was one of the best if not the best recommendations we had while in the area.

It is a little off the main wine route but certainly worth the visit. We were welcomed with a wine tasting before even discussing if we were there to eat.

The service and the setting leave nothing else to be desired. Should we go this area again it would definitely be on our agenda to visit this eating establishment..
