We went for lunch with four interstate friends. The menu offered good choices, 5 different meals were chosen and all diners were impressed with the meal and the friendly staff. The grounds were a pleasure to enjoy. Great spot to showcase our state. Congratulations to the wait staff and the chef.

My friends and I had been on wine tours before and had been disappointed with the food and the different parties of people on the coaches so we decided to listen to some friends of ours who had been on a tour with yourlimo a company that has a 10 seater stretch limo.
The owner Tom does all the driving and has a brilliant way of keeping you amused all day, magic tricks, jokes, even bursting into song now and again.
The tour went to little boutique wineries we had not seen before,as well as the usual Lancaster experience, but everywhere we went we felt special as Tom was welcomed by all the wineries so warmly.
The price was the same as the coach, but we had had to buy our own lunches, which we preferred as we did not want the usual platters and lots of bread that we had been given before.
We chose our own lunch venue, and Tom made sure we were not hurried along all day,in fact by the time we got back home we had stayed an extra 40 minutes and Tom never asked for any more money he said his clients relaxed, and that was another benefit, the tour was door to door no driving

We did the afternoon cruise tour, where we went to 2 wineries, the Margaret river chocolate factory and then took a ferry back to the city! The first winery was ok, however the second was excellent! Got a cheese and crackers plate which was yummy! The ferry back was awesome, free flowing wine and the captain even sang a couple songs! Overall a good day out!

We elected to visit a few wineries in the Swan Valley to showcase local attractions to an interstate visitor with limited time. First stop on the wine trail was Lancaster, great open air venue, a good range of wines, very busy with coach loads of fellow visitors making any space at the tasting bar a premium. The experience would have been better on a quieter day.

Next stop was Jane Brook winery, beautiful setting for wine tasting set amongst a backdrop of wine barrels. The tasting selection was excellent and the staff delightful taking time to explain the grape types and the process of making fortified wines. We decided we must visit again and stay for lunch when we have more time.

Our final stop was Lamont's winery. We arrived just before the official closing time but were afforded the full range of wines to taste and were thoroughly entertained during the process. The wines were excellent and again we made a mental note to visit again soon for a longer period and enjoy a chesse plate in the well laid out shady courtyard ajoining the wine tasting area.

Overall our decision was excellent and our visitor complimentary of the Swan Valley experience, even though we had only touched the surface of what was on offer. A must do again with more time.
