Owner description: Upper Reach is a family owned and operated boutique winery, on the banks of Perth's Swan River. We'd love you to come for a wine tasting at our crisp, clean Cellar Door with huge views of the vineyard. You could be anywhere, but you're only 30 minutes drive from Perth! The only accommodation on a vineyard in the Swan Valley is the Upper Reach Spa Cottage, this historic two bedroom cottage has been fully restored for you to enjoy 'owing a vineyard' for the night- there is just one cottage so your privacy is assured! Our aim at Upper Reach is to produce wine of the highest quality from estate grown fruit, each wine reflecting both the vineyard and the particular vintage.Upper Reach is one of the top Swan Valley wine producers, with an extensive list of wine show awards. We believe that wine is one of life's essentials along with good food, family and friends. Come in for wine tasting in a relaxed, inviting setting every day of the week, 11am until 5pm.

Like an oasis in the middle of a dry Swan Valley and the wines are good too. The setting is great for special occassions.

We visited here recently, in order for us to check out the place where our son is getting married later this year.
Whilst here we tasted some fabulous wine and had a really nice lunch.
Great views of the winery from the restaurant.
Service was very good.....all in all a very good impression.
Looking forward to our next visit already.

The taste and talk plates are great. The sparkling white goes down very well too. Highly recommended.

Upper Reach Winery and Broads restaurant is an excellent place to while away a sunny afternoon with friends. Located in the north west corner of Perth's Swan Valley, this winery has recently undergone a cellar door upgrade and restaurant expansion. A wonderful variety of award-winning wines are available for tasting and purchase. Don't miss the chardonnay and wonderful reds. The sparkling wine and rose are also excellent. Broads, has a wonderful snack and chat menu featuring various tapas but for a great selection try the tasting plates.... excellent! Upper Reach is not too large that it has lost its ambiance and friendly customer service - which have been casualties of some of the larger wineries in the Swan Valley. There's also live jazz twilight concerts in summer. It really is the perfect 'local' for me and my family. Check it out next time you are looking to enjoy good food and wine with friends in a relaxing location.

We decided to bunk off one pleasant summer afternoon after Christmas and had lunch at Houghtons. On the way back my partner decided to surprise me with a quick stop at Upper Reach as its one of my favorite bubblies. It was a great small, intimate venue looking out to rolling hillsides of vineyards and trees.
Walking into the tasting room we were informed that we could not select the champs as they don't open them except on weekends for tastings. A bit of a surprise, particularly for the week of Christmas, but fair enough. So we bought a bottle to take out to the raised wood deck outside and enjoy the view. My partner sent me outside to secure our table and all was pleasant and right with the world.
Memories of Napa Valley and the vinyards in France came drifting back to me as he stepped out with the bucket and glasses. I couldn't figure out why he had a miffed look on his face...."You won't BELIEVE this!" he said; "They have just charged me a corkage fee!"
A $3 corkage fee? For a $25 bottle wine you sold us at your own facility? Your OWN wine? HUH?
It kinda ruined the moment.
