We went with friends to this place for a special evening and we where all amazed and delighted by our choice. The service was attentive without being pushy, all the wait staff where lovely and we all enjoyed the lovely Eva who was a French traveller.
Every part of the meal was brilliant and the serve sizes where manageable and the Pinelli Wines where wonderful accompaniments. We would have no heasataion in recommending this lovely little resturant.

I was lucky enough to be taken to Fillaudeau's for my birthday and it was just delightful. The interior is a cafe-style set up, but the exterior overlooks beautiful vinyards which are gorgeous at sunset.

Though the food is of an extremely high quality, the prices are reasonable which makes it a venue of choice. The service is friendly and so is the atmosphere - you will feel comfortable dining here.

I arrived to a hand-written "Happy Birthday " note and we sampled some of the vinyard's resreve wine which was exquisite. The goats-cheese entree was delicious and so was the main and dessert that followed.

There is a great level of variety on the menu and the chef is obviously highly skilled at his craft, with everything tasting simply divine.

My dessert even arrived with a candle and the sweet waitstaff sang. A very nice personal touch!

It was also nice to be able to trade french phrases with one of the waitresses.
Authentic, excelllent food and wonderful service at a reasonable price - what more could you want?

Bon Appitiet.

My wife and I went to this new restaurant for lunch on a rainy Wednesday a couple of weeks ago. We were warmly welcomed by the personable chef Manu who spent a good deal of time explaining the philosophy behind his resaurant. Despite it being a quiet day with only two other tables occupied, all items on the menu were available.

The quality of the food was second to none and I would keep driving past the James Packer empire to sample excellent French food at this pleasant restaurant. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the product. The restaurant is housed in an attractive rammed earth building which is furnished in a plain but tasteful style. Service was excellent and Manu was most attentive. He certainly deserves to succeed and I would recommend Fillaudeau's without reservation. Well priced wines are available including those from Pinelli's winery next door. Don't go for a run afterwards, but would particularly recommend the Cassoulet. By the way, Manu also bakes his own bread and makes his own pasta. Ingredients are sourced from top quality local suppliers. He also supports local artists whose works can be viewed at the restaurant.

Last Sunday was one of the first sunny days of this spring. Mrs cyberplank and I decided to head up to the Swan Valley for a lunchtime treat.

Fillaudeaux had been mentioned in one of the local papers so we headed there. We did not have a reservation, but come summer I think it will be necessary.

We picked a spot on the verandah and were given water upon seating. We looked through the menu and were surprised by the variety. Vegetarians, Vegans and Gluten Free choices were available.

As we were in no hurry, we opted to take 2 platters and a side order of chips (fries).

We chose the Vegan, this had a trio of dips, Eggplant, Spicy Capsicum and Olive tapenade, Olives, sundried tomatoes and salad. There was also some tomatoes, onion and capsicum in Olive Oil and bread.

The second platter was the Earth. This consisted of chorizo, pork rillette, some ham, salad and bread.

We had a side dish of chips with paprika salt and aioli.

The quality and presentation of the platters were excellent. However for the price the food was scant. At $27 and $34 respectively there could have been more. Wills Domain in Margaret River platters are at least 50% larger for the same price.

Another gripe was that there was not enough bread. We ran out of bread and had at least 50% of the dips left. We asked for more and were charged for the privelidge. I think that if you are going to supply bread there should be enough presented to last the meal.

With the chips, there was a distict lack of paprika though, not even a hint of colour or heat. They were cooked to perfection though.

We also enjoyed a glass each of the Estate wines. (Pinelli)

Overall a pleasant lunch, but lack of value left a little stain on the overall good impression.
