“Quirky & Cosy”
Reviewed April 6, 2018 for a stay in April 2018

Hi booked this last minute on Trip Advisor, based mainly on value for money and proximity to Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike trails which were literally a few miles down the road.

Loved:
Response to queries quick prior to arrival and during our stay.
Lovely warm cabin on arrival with food/wine pack, fairy lights are a lovely touch, you really do feel relaxed from the moment you get there.
Having secure bike storage
Lovely hot shower
Location, walkable to pub, food was ok, a warm welcome but the restaurant wasn’t that cosy or warm, but would recommend a shortish drive to the The Grapes Hotel Maentwrog the food was excellent there although double the cost.
After I got over the hilarity of arriving with 2 teenage boys, there being no WiFi, )there was great 4G phone reception on Vodaphone and O2) no cooker (there is a 4 ring hob, microwave, toaster and grill, just plan ahead) and no tv reception although there is a modern large tv and dvd selection their faces were pictures, (I really must learn to read the whole description), but meant we could enjoy some proper quality family time, we took some games and shared some great evenings and laughs, and added to the bottle top collection.
Loved the bike and skateboard it gives the place a retro feel, but I’m slightly intrigued what the point of the grass was on the crossbar? (I was wondering if this double as a xmas decoration)
Great selection of cooking equipment, pots pans and crockery etc.
I loved the acknowledgement of the slow kitchen hot tap in the instructions, this was an understatement! An added bit of character!
Overall very clean, no cobwebs!
Appeared to be lots of outdoor equipment chiminea, barbecue and furniture.
Comfy seating areas for 4.

Suggested improvements (we would still return without these!):
Perhaps send a picture message of the location and parking ahead of arrival, we struggled to find the parking bay but had taken the wrong lane.
A slow cooker would not be costly and provides added cooking option.
A wood burning stove would add to the rustic feel of this cabin accepted this won’t be cheap to install
Hot tap in bathroom would be useful
Add some family games, pack of cards, dominoes.
Add a Bird table for left over bread and fill your nuts up!

So in summary if you are looking to feel totally relaxed from the moment you arrive, in a great location to all major North Wales attractions, great value for money, in a quiet and peaceful location, waking up to the birds singing in the morning, you won’t go far wrong booking this cabin.

Pdiddy C :) awesome review thank you !
Totally take on board all your comments . So glad you enjoyed the cabin and it's cosyness . The grass is a long story :)
Please come back and enjoy again and I will endeavour to implement your suggestions in particular the slow cooker for which we did have one but space was killing us but I think you are right so it shall return . ... the pub is going through something of a transition and it's a shame . Glad the mountain bike storage was helpful . Unfortunately , a log burger is forbidden . Rules n regs :( but of course you are completely right ... if only ... however we hope you appreciated the warmth in the inclement weather .
Thanks again and please tell your mountain bike friends and colleagues alike about us ,
Kind regards ,
Ben and Steve

I couldn't have been happier with our log cabin. It was ideal. Perfect for our little family and perfect for a future romantic weekend. Inspirational for anyone who writes and a treat for anyone who star gazes (on a clear night). Absolutely in love with this cabin.

A lovely place to stay, nice and quiet and very relaxing. My son and I went to climb Snowdon and this was a perfect location. We had everything we needed and the food left for us was a lovely touch especially the wine!

We cooked and visited the local pub where the good was good. Very comfortable stay, we would love to come back.

“The best getaway ”
Reviewed July 24, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

All about this cabin is beyond amazing! The perfect getaway. From the moment you set foot in the cabin you're overwhelmed by a wonderful sense of coziness and a peaceful atmosphere. We are so grateful for your hospitality Steve and sincerely wanna thank you for the wine and all the food in the kitchen.
Everything you need is there. Personally I was quite impressed finding a blender in the kitchen as I love to start my day with a smoothie.
Unfortunately our stay was very short but we would love to come back for a longer time.
Oh and the view from the cabin is stunning!
Once more we thank you for everything Steve!
Kind regards,
Zina,Rachie,Leo and Dimo

“Fab little getaway”
Reviewed June 5, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

My to children and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. When we arrived we were greeted with wine and snacks which through me at first. I thought I had come into an already occupied cabin! This was a really nice treat after a long drive.

The cabin is very cosy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Perfect base for biking, walking and the beach. Great views from the decking if you are lucky enough to get some sun in the evening.

Unfortunately one of my children had to go home and she was really poorly with chicken pox. We will definitely be back in the summer holidays as we enjoyed it so much and I promised I would take my little girl back when she is better!

“Warm cosy mountain retreat”
Reviewed June 1, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Stayed just one night but wish it could have been longer. Warm cosy cabin set in beautiful surroundings. Great communications from Ben and Steve and really lovely touches of basics such as bread/milk/tea being there on arrival which was great as we arrived after 5 and local shop shut ( which we were aware of in advance). This is a perfect base for exploring snowdonia. We tried white water rafting in Bali which was great, explored coed y brenin visitors centre, which had some lovely walks and cafe, and finally walked snowdon which is a must. Highly recommend this place really good value.
