Description: A delightful old, unspoilt Cornish village pub full of character and very welcoming. Dog friendly, large beer garden across the road for those lovely sunny days. In the winter after a lovely walk on the beach, come and relax in front of our roaring fires, we serve quality Ale from St Austell Brewery. We also serve a selection of hot drinks. Food is served every day. Here at The Ship,' You don't have to be local to be treated like a local you just have to come and see us'We look forward to welcoming you. From all the crewe.

We were staying at the Ancient Shipbrokers nearby so made this our first meal out. Excellent value for money meals and varied choice. Friendly staff and good beer with Proper Job recommended. Lovely large beer garden opposite for when the sun shines! Another worthy visit when in the area.

We visited while staying at Pentewan Sands, the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. We all had platters in our party and for £22 for 2 you can't go wrong, they were stacked high, varied and plentiful. I had bread and butter pudding for afters, and the only downside was it was very burnt underneath - other than that very nice. One slight criticism is the length of time it takes to clear plates, the birds are like vulchers and it is very off putting when you are eating with a swarm of birds on the next table finishing off what is left.

Old traditional pub. Good beer and food. Nice to sit in the garden (across the road) on a lovely evening. I live locally and like to visit after a walk along the river and woods with the dogs.
