Description: A delightful old, unspoilt Cornish village pub full of character and very welcoming. Dog friendly, large beer garden across the road for those lovely sunny days. In the winter after a lovely walk on the beach, come and relax in front of our roaring fires, we serve quality Ale from St Austell Brewery. We also serve a selection of hot drinks. Food is served every day. Here at The Ship,' You don't have to be local to be treated like a local you just have to come and see us'We look forward to welcoming you. From all the crewe.

“Top Pub”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

Whilst visiting family we visited Pentewan and decided to eat at The Ship. The welcome we received was welcoming and friendly. When ordering our food and drinks the staff were only too helpful, my girlfriend has a fussy appetite and they were more than happy to change the menu to suit her needs. The beer was top notch and we look forward to visiting The Ship again in august when we return to Cornwall.

“Not bad”
Reviewed May 2, 2013

The food was pretty standard pub fare - nothing to get excited about but nothing particularly wrong with it.
The staff were indifferent - no chat, no signs of friendliness.
Some good beers available.

“run of the mill”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

Reading other reviews I cannot understand them raving about the food, and at best it's just a normal pub menu.as for the staff they were okay,no warm welcome though or banter.there was a good atmosphere though and the beer selection was spot on.Also to be fair they did have my favourite dessert.

“Well Kept Traditional Pub with friendly staff”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Worth a stop off for a pint or three. Welcoming staff and great location. Toilets were being refurbished so had to use public ones down the road but otherwise a good traditional pub.

“Warm friendly and good beer :-)”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

The Barman was very friendly there's a good selection of beers lagers and ciders. The log fire was burning and it was very cosy on what was a bit of a cold and wet day. Didn't last long enough to try the food as well but the menu was varied and reasonably priced, maybe next time.
